“Cute little botel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

Charming place, well-kept and nice with a historic-nautical flair. The rooms are very very small but nice to look at, everything is very clean but a little old-fashioned. Adds to the cuteness-factor though. Breakfast with lots of selection and a lovely view of the river, their deck restaurant is very good too. The city is a little walk away (about 20mins I think), there is a subway stop across the bridge, which is a little walk too, so the location is not ideal - but quiet, the surrounding area isn't very exciting to look at. Free parking. We had a good time overall.

Booked last minute and stayed here for two nights with some friends. The location is good - 15/20 minute walk into the Old Town Square & Charles Bridge area or there are trams within a 2 minute walk that go very regularly and take 5 mins. The buffet breakfast was excellent and the staff were extremely very helpful staff and knowledgable.

A unique experience staying on a boat. Didn't look too glamarous from the outside, but inside was really nice, with interesting well maintained decor and a nice bar/restaurant area. Rooms are not big or luxury, but very nice, clean (good shower!) and very adequate for a weekend stay in a central location. Good value and would happily return.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the river if you can.

Visited Prague for an anniversary break. The setting is lovely, just on the edge of the main city centre: convenient yet not too noisy. Walking aboard, first impressions are great: all wood panelling, leather sofas and glass cabinets. The receptionists are knowledgeable and mostly friendly. The rooms are snug (as you would expect) but tidy. A kettle and some shampoo would have been nice. The beds are singles pushed together, so there's a hard ridge down the middle, and the pillows are too soft. Didn't try the restaurant, but the breakfast was simple but filling.

It was a great expirience staying on a floating hotel. The place was very clean, staff very helpful and always "Service with a smile". The room was a good size, very quiet. The Restaurant was first class, even so the menu is a little bit limited. The breakfast was great, had something for every taste. I'm glad i only stayed three day.

Room Tip: I was glad we stayed on the upper level

Travelled with family for a wedding, didn't realise at first that we were on a boat!! Beautiful wooden panelling and sea chandelry . The breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of cereals, fruit, hot food and cold meats.
Drinks were very reasonable and excellent service.

A real treat to start a perfect weekend.

We were strolling along the Vltava river and stopped for something to eat at this boat restaurant. The interior is just gorgeous with lots of rich wood throughout and a nautical theme. They make the best cream of mushroom soup that I've ever had. The pilsner was bomb! In fact, I keep buying pilsners to try but none compare. We also enjoyed the rolls and butter and pasta alfredo. I'd highly recommend. The staff was kind and friendly too. Afterwards, take a walk along the river. Swans came up to us looking for a handout. Really cute!

The Botel Admiral is so charming - the decor is very "cruise" like, etc.
The restaurant had good food that was reasonably priced, and the staff was incredibly helpful. In addition, the staff works as a travel agency, so we were able to book tours, etc directly through them at reception & have it arranged for us to be picked up. In a town like Prague, where the streets are very narrow & windy and you can't understand the language, this was a nice perk :)

The breakfast was poor - decent selection but not great quality overall. We had some free coffee & then ate later in Prague after the first try at the Botel breakfast.

The rooms are small but adequate - larger than a cruise ship at least. The decor in the rooms is outdated & even the first appearance of the Botel itself is a little disappointing, but don't let that deter you. We loved waking up on the river, watching the boats & swans to by etc. It was is a great location & we were very happy with our stay there.
