From check in to departure the service was impeccable but without the pretensiousness of most luxury hotels. A great and stylish hotel but above all relaxing. Even the 7 course degustation dinner ( excellent although priced for special romantic celebrations only !) was served in a calm and relaxed way- made special of course by the wonderful view of Prague. Yes all the great reviews are fully justified! Enjoy!!!

From the moment we booked on line to the moment we received a lovely personal email on our return home, the charming staff pulled out all the stops to make our stay truly memorable. We felt like incredibly special guests and have no doubt that all the other guests did too. The location is unsurpassed and the views are very romantic. I recently stayed at The Golden Well and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were lovely, very helpful and attentive. The location was good, away from all the tourist crowds however still close to sight seeing and the hotel had amazing views of the city. The hotel was very good value and included breakfast each morning (anything from menu or buffet and included sparkling wine!), drinks and nibbles in the lounge each afternoon from 4-6 and a dessert on the bedside table each night. I would def recommend this hotel if visiting Prague!

Our recent trip to Prague (and my first return since 1969) was our best vacation ever – and U Zlate Studne was a major reason. The always delightful and helpful staff, exquisite room, instant access to the castle gardens, delicious food, unsurpassed quiet and convenience of the Golden Well's location, and spectacular views from our room and the restaurant made this the only place we will stay on our next trip to Prague. The staff knew which restaurants, concerts, historic sites and tour guides would best meet our needs, gave us outstanding service for every request, and engaged us anytime we wanted in spirited and informed discussions about history, culture, music, politics and other topics.

After U Zlate Studne, other hotels will have to work miracles to impress us. The room, Jacuzzi, comfortable bed, bedtime pastries, welcoming wine and dessert, incredible staff, and pervasive romance of the entire hotel are etched in our memories. We have recommended this gem to everyone we've talked to about our trip -- and cannot wait to go back.
