Though our tastes tend towards the more modern and simple in hotel and room design, we had a wonderful time at this hotel. After touring castles in Cesky Krumlov and then in Prague we felt like were staying in an (updated) version of how royalty used to live. Though royalty didn't have running water (thought to be bad for the health) or air conditioning.
We stayed in the Mozart Suite, which was extremely comfortable, with a lovely bed and furnishings.
The front desk staff (Susanna, Dasa, Martin) were uniformly extremely helpful and friendly, full of suggestions and advice.
The hotel is located in the less busy but equally scenic Mala Strana neighborhood, but just a 7 minute walk from the Charles Bridge (go there at 7:00 am before the crowds arrive) or 20 minutes from Old Town Square.
Breakfasts were competent but unimaginative, and felt a little boring after 4 days, a minor complaint.
A great place to stay in Prague.
