Overall very impressed. I was extremely concerned after booking the hotel to read the reviews on Tripadvisor. It is an extremely large hotel and as a result extremely popular with large coach party’s which understandably put strain at certain times on the staff, particularly when checking in and out, and I can understand how some of the experiences reported could have occurred.

However I personally did not encounter any such problems, the staff were very friendly and the rooms we clean, though a little basic. Breakfast was included, and again was for a large hotel in Europe catering for multiple tastes was adequate.

The location of the hotel also is a factor worth considering with it being the opposite side of the city to the airport, resulting in a more expensive taxi rise. The transport system into the city centre is excellent and extremely good value, however a trip does take about 45 minutes each way.

We booked the hotel through easyjet We know know why it was so cheap for such a high star rating. The enterance is rather grand, however our room was exactly how the photo shows (in main review) My partner described it as a portacabin. Later found out you could upgrade your room for an additional cost of £20.

We were under the impression that the sauna, swimming pool, tennis courts and bowling would be available. We found out it is 200 ck per hour for a swim!!! Per person!!!! The Bowling alley, was never open!
Didnot bother asking about the rest of the facilities. Every time went pass the pool enterance, only saw 2 people max in the pool.

During our stay, the hotel had numerous visitors due to conferences, the computer room (business room) was free to the visitors but hotel guests had to pay.

Mealtimes was a "Free for all", The dinning room could hold approx 300 persons, however once ie the roast potatoes were emptied from the hot plate they were replaced with mixed veg....tend to think there was a breakdown in communications of how many people were expected to how many the chef should cater for!!!

I was expecting traditional dishes, ie meals with dumplings etc....did not see anything resembling cezch food.

Would not go back. Certainly the rest of our party (who travel abroad at least 4 times a year) would not be recommending Top Hotel.

Nice city, nice people, reliable clean transport and safe.

What a dissappointment. On arriving at the hotel it looked pretty nice with its water fountains and marble reception but that was soon to be seen as just a front because this hotel was something else!!!
On checking in we were given are key and made are way to the elevator. On opening the door we were thown to one side my a staff member who boarded the lift and shut the door on us, leaving us shocked at such disgusting treatment
After booking and paying for a double room we were given a triple room with 3 single beds that couldnt be pushed together for the shape of the room. We complained to reception only to be shouted at and told they were overbooked and we'd get one tomorrow.
As we had arrived late we ate in the restaurant. The food was absolutely awful and the service terrible. What a way to start our weekend break!!!
Breakfast was even worse. No hot food just very salty bread ham, cheese and cereal. The orange juice had run out, and no knives or cereal bowls left. When we asked we were given a coffee cup for the cereal and abruct responseThey were clearing your plates away while you were still eating.
The hotel was a long way out but in fairness it was very easy to get into the centre. A bus from outside the hotel and a metro all for about (60p)
After this terrible start we choose not to spend anytime in the hotel or eat there.
If after all these bad reviews you still choose to go there then dont eat there and keep your key in the door as on our last morning the cleaner kept trying to unlok the door about every hour from 8am to see if we'd left yet. Its not what you want when its a romantic getaway.

Myself and my girlfriend spent 4 nights at this hotel recentley. We read the reviews and wondered what to expect. Having been there, i have no idea how the hotel has been reviewed so badly. The hotel is immaculate and clean. The facilities are good. Enough to justify a 4 star. I know People have their opinions, but i'm not sure what people expect for such a good price. Yeah the hotel is a bit out of the way, but nothing that your not told on most websites before booking. As for the staff. I don't think they are rude. They may seem abrupt. But czechs somtimes come across this way. They are no worse than brits!! I also think the language barrier is the main cause. Not many english speak czech! So the amount of english they do manage (as well as other foriegen languages) is commendable. The time to get to the city centre is about 30 mins, but is easy. A bus pulls up outside the hotel and takes you to the metro station. Thens its a few stops from there. Make sure you buy a ticket in the hotel shop and when you get on the bus, put it into the yellow machine to validate. This then allows you onto the subway aswell (so don't get another ticket at the metro). If you don't validate the ticket (in the yellow machine) and an inspector stops you. You'll get a large fine. For the sake of 50p for a ticket, its not worth it. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AND WOULD GO BACK. Just a tip. Get you beers etc from the 24 hr bar downstairs. Its half the price of the beers in the hotel.
