I booked this hotel for my boyfriends birthday on low cost holidays so I wasn't expecting much.
However, it was very clean, spacious and the staff were very friendly. We stayed 3 nights and loved every minute. We never made it for breakfast so don't know what that was like. There's a fantastic restaurant/bar just 2 mins from the hotel called Legenda - pretty tasty food and very reasonable.

We walked to the main square and Charles bridge, all pretty do able, Wenceslas square is about 10 min walk.

All in all highy recommend the hotel, great location and cheap!!

They also had a jacuzzi you can book just for you, pretty cool and clean!!

I recently travelled to Prague with my 9 yo daughter. We stayed at Hotel St George and were very impressed with the cleanliness, location and helpfulness of reception staff. We also loved the spa bath in the evenings after walking around Prague for hours. Highly recommend this hotel.

I booked this hotel after checking out TA, and because of the reviews I decided to give it a shot.
On going into the hotel it ws obviously very well run and looked after. I had asked for a high roon, double bed ad for an early check in. We arrived shortly after 12, and everything had been sorted! The staff were very helpful and arranged a tour for us to go on. Nothing appeared to put them out.
The breakfast isn't fantastic, a typical continental breakfast, but it does fill you up. But its a great excuse to get out of the hotel, and go and eat in one of the many cafe's and restaurants!
I would thoroughly recommend this hotel, its only a 15 minute walk to Wenceslas square so you get to the centre of the city in no time.

Room Tip: Ask for a high room as there will be less noise in the morning.

Given that the weather forecast was for snow and sub-zero conditions we experienced sight-seeing-friendly weather all weekend.
The St George Hotel was clean, well-maintained and retained all it's architectural glories from a former era. Rooms were smart although ours was too warm until we finally conquered the heating controls. Other room facilities i.e. shower, loo, TV, storage space were all that one expects from a higher-end European hotel.
The continental breakfast was hearty and varied despite previous reports posted in Trip Advisor and the staff were friendly and helpful.
There is a small, adequate gym which has to be booked in advance but users beware that the hotel attempted to charge me for use of the sauna which comes at an extra cost approx 90CZK). So be very clear what you want to use and let the hotel reception know.
Also be aware that whilst the hotel is often advertised as being on Wenclesas Square it's a good 10 minutes walk (uphill) away.
Overall we enjoyed our stay, we'd stay again and would recommend it to others.

The hotel service is bad:
1. Every morning at 08:05 there is a very loud noise from the ceiling which according to the staff is due to the heating of the hotel, and they can do nothing about it. This woke us up every day, we couldn't sleep afterwards.
2. The hotel offers the use of a small safe box in the room. You have to deposit 20Euro for the key. We did so and used the safe box throughout the week. When we checked out from the hotel, nobody asked for the key back. When returning back home, I called the hotel and suggested to send the key back by mail, and in return they will return the 20Euro deposit. The hotel manager was very rude, kept shouting at me that it was our fault I didn't return the key. She refused to return the deposit even if I return the key (This happened 24 hours after we left the hotel).
We believe this is not the way to handle customers. If anyone has asked the key back, we would immediately return it. According to our understanding, this should be a part of the check out procedure. When I told this to the manager, she refused to ask any customer that checks out, if he has the safe key to return. We believe it is probably very comfortable, as the replication of a key is much cheaper than 20Euro.
3. When booking the hotel, they claimed internet is available. When arriving to the hotel, we found out internet is available only in the lobby, but not in the room.
Unfortunately, we will never come back to this hotel.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for three nights from the 12th of December to the 15th of December. We could not fault the hotel in any way for service or the condition of the room,it was perfect!! We stayed for bed and breakfast and when we went down for breakfast on the first day we did not get acknowledged at all! Breakfast was self service and was awful! The bread and croissants were hard and the milk for the cereal was warm! We decided to go out for breakfast after that as there were a lot of lovely cafes nearby and within walking distance. Other than that it was a lovely holiday in a very pretty city.

We stayed for 4 nights and considering the price we paid we were very impressed with the hotel. Staff were so friendly and helpful and spoke amazing English so there was never an issue, they would go out of there way to help. The room was a good size and clean and air con was amazing considering it was so warm outside. They were also cleaned everyday. Really good location, supermarket and bars near by as well as a tube and tram stop 2 minutes away. Only took about 20 minutes to walk to old town square and it was a lovely walk full of sights and 5 minutes to Wenceslas Square.
Breakfast was basic but for the price was good and done the job. We used the jacuzzi which was a nice perk of the hotel, the staff were really good and showed us how to use it etc. If you book you can have it privately.
This is a perfect hotel for the centre and for the price we were really pleased with what we got, if we were staying in Prague on a budget again we would be sure to stay at the Hotel St George
