“Great location let down by a few minor issues”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 days ago NEW

We stayed here for 3 days (Fri-Sun) in late July 2015. This hotel is perfectly located away from the very busy tourist spots, but just close enough to the action. Our loft room was a lovely size, although the bathroom could have been bigger given teh space available. The staff were very helpful, especially at reception. The only points we felt could have made for an exceptional experience were the lack of decent wi-fi (it kept dropping off) and the fact that the breakfasts weren't as good as expected for a 4-star venue

Room Tip: Go for the loft rooms with river view. Large and comfy

The hotel is just beside or at the foot of the famous charles bridge. No noise to disturb us in our room in the evenings, staff service is excellent, always helpful and the nice part is they are not "all over you", bathroom is big, modern and always kept clean, and so was the buffet breakfast, suiting all types of diners, even vegetarian and lacktos intolerance and lots of fruits. It exceeded our expectations and we love to stay there again and enjoy Prague all over again. Bravo!

Room Tip: garden rooms are quiet

My sister and I have always wanted to visit Prague and finally did. We researched hotels and this one came up. It looked quaint but with sophisticated amenities, and turned out to be everything it seemed from its profile. On a quiet street in the Kampe area, but within walking distance of the Little Quarter (its location), Old Town and New Town, we avoided public transportation except to go to the outskirts of the city once. The room, #27, was perfect-we do not spend a lot of time in the hotel as we are out exploring-clean, with a large bathroom and view of the street. Air conditioning (it was a heatwave there) was unobtrusive and efficient. Hotel dining was fabulous, especially the breakfast, which is included in the very economical cost. The outdoor cafe on the Vltava River was enjoyed many nights for a beer and snack. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and very nice; we needed them to assist with some concert and tour tickets and to arrange for the taxi back to the airport at the end of our trip-so much easier done Czech to Czech as we did not speak the language. Their English, however, was impeccable. Many different room styles are available to accomodate families, or if you want to have a river view. I would stay there again definitely.

Room Tip: Room 27 was quiet and private.

The location is great, right at the foot of the Charles Bridge, in the lesser town thus it is quieter than the other side of the bridge. The renovations at the Archibald are wonderful. They have managed to keep the old time feel while adding modern amenities. The bathroom was wonderful. The breakfast buffet was lavish and satisfying. The staff was responsive. It has a lift. We had a loft room with structural beams and slanted walls and a lovely view of the square. I would have liked another window, and remember European hotels do not provide face cloths so bring your own. There is no pool or spa or exercise equipment, but who needs that in vibrant Prague.

Fantastic location. Very close to the Charles Bridge but still nice and quiet. Rooms are great with a large bathroom, coffee maker and free wifi. Breakfast had a large selection of choices. Front desk staff were extremely helpful.

My family stayed here July 2015 for 2 nights. The location is perfect and is only 100 metres away from the Charles Bridge. We had 2 rooms booked, a double and a triple room. (Triple room had 2 TV's)The rooms are of a standard size and the bathrooms are modern. Breakfast was included and was of a good standard with plenty of choice. The staff on the reception desk were extremely helpful and told me where to get the best exchange rate. They also organised cheap taxis for us and the transfer to the airport. There is plenty of restaurants around the area, however with 2 small children it was easier for us to eat in the hotel restaurant. The food was tasty. Overall a pleasant experience. I would stay there again.

Fantastic location. We had a large family group (10 people) and we were all pleased with our rooms. Very good restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The waitress at dinner was especially good. The staff was very helpful. Will definitely try and stay here again.
