“A truly lovely hotel in historic vuilding”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 weeks ago

We had a junior suite with a kitchenette. This was a very spacious set oif rooms with a kitchen in a cupboard. The kitchen was very workable. The bathroom was spacious and newly renovated. There was even a dining table and ample storage throughout. We loved the high ceilings and original banisters and tiling. All historic features were beautifully maintained. Wi fi was very good. The breakfast was exceptional with many choices and regularly refreshed. The location was excellent and easily accessible by tram.
This hotel had a feeling of quiet elegance at a very reason price.

Good location, good rooms, good service, good value. Wi-fi works well.
No airconditioner, breakfast may be more variety.
This hotel gives you discount 10% in Meduzzy restaurant. the restaurant is near the hotel (1 minute walk).
Recommend, but not in summer.

Room Tip: The best rooms are in low floor and try to get rooms with a kitchen. With a kitchen the rooms are b...

The hotel is well located on a quiet street just off a main intersection with lots of nearby amenities. The hotel was close enough to where I wanted to be without being in the thick of things. The room is clean spacious and comfortable. I was staying for 9 nights and appreciated the little kitchenette. I noticed on other tripadvisor reviews that I should ask for cooking pots etc and the staff was happy to help. I loved the French chanteuse music each morning in the breakfast room. The breakfast offerings were a good mix of hot, cold, eggs, pastries, savouries etc. I would definitely return here.

We are currently staying at this hotel. My son and I are on a 10 country tour of Europe and we booked everything ourselves. The hotel is kept immaculately clean. The staff helped us book tours and a car rental and did so with a smile. The reading/sitting room is quiet lovely...situated in a small courtyard surrounded by some greenery. I have seen comments about the breakfast being poor and our breakfast experiences have been great. Each morning has had a selection of different meats and hot food along with cold items. We went later in the morning one day and still had a complete selection of food. If you want to use the kitchenette you can rent pots/ pans etc....just ask reception. Some of the hotels on our trip have been extremely small so I appreciate the large living area with this hotel. The location is great....quiet street within walking distance of Charles bridge. It is a bit of a jaunt to Old Towne Square but you are close to the Trams so it is still easily accessible. There are many restaurants and bars in the area. For a 3 star hotel I think they do a great job.

Just visited Prague for a few days and stayed here for 3 nights (3rd – 6th May). Always do my research on Trip Advisor after filtering available hotels prior to booking, and decided to book this hotel. We had a few surprises when we arrived at our designated room though. We arrived fairly late in the evening and were allocated Room #1. I booked a Junior Suite, and according to the confirmation this comprised of 1 double and 1 single bed. However what we got was 2 single beds squashed together, with 2 single mattresses and 2 single duvet covers. I complained to reception, and after they checked our room they confirmed all the rooms in their hotel were like this. So basically it was not their fault, but the error of the site I booked with (Expedia). We had no choice to accept it really, but I will be taking this up with Expedia. In addition to the bed situation, we were supposed to have a bath in our en-suite, but I wouldn’t have called it a bath. More like a large sit down shower tray thing. Not enough room to stretch out and certainly not possible to lie down. Oh and then there was no plug anyway, so we had to take showers. Not ideal when you’ve pounded the streets of Prague all day. As for the buffet breakfast, this was ok, albeit the water to make your tea wasn’t hot water. The bonus though was there were scrambled eggs on offer, not expected but appreciated. We were glad we didn’t arrange a trip here in June or July though, especially being allocated Room #1. This room was downstairs from reception, which should have been a cooler room really? Oh not so. It was very warm during the night, and this was at the beginning of May. We both had terrible nights, as it was too stuffy. No air-con in the room, although I guess we should have asked for a fan. We have no idea if any other rooms had air-con. The only solace was to open all the windows to let some fresh air in. The downside to this was the communal smoking area outside our room so there was chatting right outside late evening and early morning, and we had to keep the curtains closed to stop any prying eyes. The bed was hard, the room safe was right at the bottom of the wardrobe so you had to get on your hands and knees to access it, there was a kettle in the room, and cups, glasses & cutlery. But no condiments. The hotel offered free wi-fi, but this was so hap-hazard and came in and out on regular occasions. There was a small fridge in the room which helped to keep water cold which was great. The location of the hotel was good for the tram route into the centre of town. And there is a great bar/restaurant just 1 minute walk around the corner called Meduzzy which is open until 11pm. On check out, the staff did not ask if we had enjoyed our stay, it was a good job really! Other travellers have commented that this is a clean and tidy hotel. It was indeed a clean & tidy hotel. It was just the little issues we had that stopped us enjoying staying there.
