“Freezing cold place so stayed in Hotel most of time - great”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2009

We were moved due to overbooking from our original hotel. The Hilton is one of the furthest out from the toen centre.

We visited when the big Russian freeze was moving west and it was -14 degrees most days, and colder at night in January, the locals wouldnt even go out.

Didnt really appreciate Prague due to the cold which is a real shame but hotel was fantastic. Bar was great, food, rooms as ou'd expect.

Us prude Brits found the saunas strange as everyine MUST go in naked!

Fab hotel but would choose by rtip in Summer next time so could appreciate the town more. Also would hopeflly save money as drinks in the bar very expensive - around £8 per pint!!!

the location is great - about a 10 - 15 min walk to the old city. lots of litte shops, supermarkets and restaurants around. prague is a city that is best explored on foot. and after a long day of walking you really feel like you're in the lap of luxury when you come back. the jacuzzi and steam room really relaxes you and the best part is the cloud 9 bar that gives you a 360 view of the city by night and serves excellent cocktails!

the breakfast buffet has a good spread although it is pretty much the same everyday - but i guess thats how it works. after a late night the food we had at the coffee shop / atrium was fab. there is a gordon ramsay restaurant but we were hardly there during meal times so didnt get to try it out.

Our stay at the Prague Hilton exceeded expectations. We stayed on the executive floor and the staff could not have been more helpful and professional. The executive lounge was beautiful and again, the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. Breakfast in the lounge was very good as were the evening snacks. We found the walk to Old Town to be not a problem at all. We enjoy walking so it was 10 minutes at most. The location along the river was lovely and we also enjoyed walking to town along the river. If I ever return to Prague I will definitely choose the Hilton.

good value, and only a short walk to the old town.
really friendly staff. they also have thier own taxi service, so use this or aaa taxis to avoid being charged X4 the standard fare by picking up a cab in the street.

We really enjoyed our stay at this gorgeous 5-star hotel. The staff was very friendly and the hotel itself has everything you would ever need. We used the pool and jacuzzi every day. The room was an amazing value. $132 with an excellent view of the river. We preferred to walk into Old Town and that took perhaps 20-25 minutes but it gave us a chance to take different routes and see the sights in the New Quarter and the Jewish Quarter. We did use room service a couple times and it was excellent. They have a great TV systems and get a number of English speakin channels. Photos that you see on the web cannot come close to just how beautiful this hotel is. The atrium is spectacular. We would not stay anywhere else in Prague.

My family and I tend to seek out Hilton hotels when traveling in Europe - with a family that include three younger boys, the consistency of the experience, and simplicity of a larger brand is a comfort.

This Hilton is an exceptional experience amongst European hotels. It is surprisingly large and with good amenities. The gym and sauna area is top notch, the pool is grand, and the bars/restaurants very good. There is even a top floor nighclub (not sure it is affiliated with the hotel but you can access it directly from within) and a casino that is apparently attached.

The thing about Hitlons is they are normally fairly similar - here the rooms are well appointed but not overly lavish. The baths are updated, albeit a bit on the smaller side - little tight for two adults to be in there together.

But the service and staff here is grand - we stayed over Easter weekend and despite huge crowds of travelers the staff always had on a smile and seemed to genuniely go out of their way to speak with guests.

Location is a bit outside of town. You can walk it but it is through neighborhoods that surround the old city. The Hilton Atrium actually has their own cab service however - call the number and they dispatch a hotel driver in a hotel cab to get you - at very reasonable rates. We never spent more than 300 krona on a ride with our family of 5 plus an au pair.
Restaurants are good - the main one is pricy but the food is good enough I'd recommend it as a good dining experience - not the type of place to drop into for a quick dinner. Breakfasts are what breakfasts are at Hiltons - huge buffet. My kids love Hiltons because of them and the opportunity to use the pool (this one was a bit chilly by the way).

I'll admit the best thing about this Hilton is that it is in Prague - an absolutely amazing city. It pains me to think I'll never get a chance to live there - but we always have Prague in the spring as a devine memory.

I had been at the Hilton for a big and important Business Conference. The Service at the Hotel was a disaster. I had to wait for 1 hour to get my room due to a mistake at the reception. Then the staff brought by bags to my room and where angry at my because I didn't have a tip for them.

The Wifi was a total ripp-off or as Rory Cellan-Jones (BBC Reporter) wrote on his twitter feed:
"Think I've found world's most expensive wifi. £25 for 24 hours at Hilton Prague" http://twitter.com/ruskin147/status/1627921673
"Not only is this hotel broadband a rip-off - it's not even broadband. Tested it - it's 0.2mbps" http://twitter.com/ruskin147/status/1629994161

I also parked by car in the Hotel garage. You can't believe it. 56 Euros for two days. That is what I call a "ripp-off".

Some of the Room of the Business Center where very "smelly" and the whole atmosphere of the conference area was not five star level.

I would not recommend this hotel!
