“A wonderful experience in a new setting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

The hotel was good and provided a great choice of breakfast menus and we had a balcony too ! It was close by to the metro; which was literally just down the hill. The trains at the metro were so regular and quick and the language barrier did not become a worry as the Prague people were so friendly and affluent at languages .Charles Bridge was amazing and full of history as was Prague Castle. The Czechoslovakia food was very tasty .The Old town Square and the New Town square were so different and yet so fantastic too.A great holiday and recommended .

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony if you want to see the city life choose the front of the hotel and if you want a r...

We were in this hotel with whole family and we practically went there to sleep because we spent most of the time outside. So my comment wont be detailed but still I have to say from the first moment the girl at the recepcion was absolutely terrible - she did not even look at us at check in she was absolutely bothered by telling us any information - and it looked like she had another girl there for training so she was nervous on her too. Hotel bar sucks big time - waitress friday night was also VERY RUDE and throwed us drinks on table in horrible way!!! From that moment we prefered to go for a drink outside. Rooms are basic but clean - altough there is a big time bad smell coming out of a toilet aand shower pressure is so low that shower itself takes double the time as normal. But in general room was ok altough missing hairdryer! Hotel is spacious and big, breakfast good - food was nice and good choice. Altough girls - waitresses at the breakfast were more busy by talking to each other than taking dirty plates out and clean table for next guest. Parking area is good and distance from metro 4 minutes walking. Infront of the hotel is great restaurant KOLIBA which offered us amazing food for very good price. I recomend this hotel for those which want to pass by for one night or weekend as we did, definitely NOT for a longer stay!

The hotel is close to the metro station 'Roztyly'. And from there you get to Prague centrum 'Museum Station' in 15 minutes.
Rooms are clean and neat but very very basic.
No hair dryer, no refrigerator.
But the prices are quite ok (we paid 45 € per night for a double room).
As a consequence I would recommend this hotel if you will spend your whole day in the city and use the hotel just for sleep and shower.

We were staying for one night and for that this hotel is perfect. With the price of 27 Euros it is more than reasonable. The room are basic but clean. The breakfast was also quite basic. WLAn is extra and cost 3 Euros. Around the hotel there is enough parking space. The Metro station is a 5 minute walk.
The bad. There were some excursion and were quite noise.

lovely and warm hotel, good breakfast buffet, easy links to Prague itself, apart from that the hotel is an unwelcoming functional building invaded when i was there by 3 coaches of students who filled the bar with cigarette smoke and behaved as teenagers do(although not badly).sound travels very well too.The internet is available at the hotel but at a cost of 3 euros a day and.if you are relying on public transport its a bit of a trek up to the hotel with luggage

The hotel is well heated and in a great location with easy access to the city. The rooms are basic but sufficient. The staff are unhelpful and unfriendly. But for the cost of the hotel it was great value for money. The breakfeast is sufficient.

The hotel is not in the centre Prague but is close to a metro station offering quick access to the main attractions. The room was a good size, comfortable and very warm, and the price was very reasonable. However it's a soulless place lacking in any character, with all the charm of an airport waiting lounge. There is a Bar/restaurant of sorts, but with nothing to commend it. The Night Club is below ground and although small and certainly not crowded is a bit smokey, just like the rest of Prague. The EU Non-Smoking in public places laws do not appear to have been implemented yet inte Czech Republic and peole smoke everywhere. Breakfast is uninspiring. Porridge had run out not long after opening, and staff were rude and refused to make any more. Tea has to be made with warm water. Hospitality standards are not good, but just adequate by Czech standards. To make your stay really memorable, visit the gift shop in the foyer, where you can select from any number of tawdry tobacco-infested trinkets, courtesy to the chain-smoking attendant.
