“Cloisters for a city break”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

This hotel is positioned well for touring the city between the river and the old town. We walked everywhere although public transport runs frequently. The staff are frendly and the accommodation clean and adequate. Free safe which is always a winner!! Breakfasts included were fine with pleanty of choice and ran for three hours. Views from the hotel aren't great but we didn't really want that as we were out early and back late. Free tea and coffee in reception was useful as we went for the new year - so we were quite cold when we got back. Free wi-fi. I'd recommend the hotel.

Room Tip: The cobbled road to the front could be noisy but it never bothered us.

I emailed the hotel and got detailed instructions on how to take public transportation. Prague has narrow roads and alleyways you literally have about 8 turns from public transportation but only a 10 min easy walk. Breakfast had breads, meats and cheeses, fruits and juices. The only hot item was hard boiled eggs. The rooms were quite nice, we had a double bed. It was inexpensive and we can only figure it is because it is not directly off a public transportation route. This was a plus for us. We just looked for signs to the Bethlehem chapel (Betlémská kaple) and it was just around the corner. I highly recommend Cloister Inn! 10 minute walk to Charles Bridge or Town square. 15 min to Jewish quarter.

This hotel is in a central location and within easy walking distance of all the tourist attractions. All the rooms are well decorated, comfortable & very clean. The staff are outstanding in their attention to everyone's requirements and speak a range of languages. All have excellent knowledge of the city and services. The lounge provides a comfortable relaxing area with free hot drinks available 24 hours a day. Breakfast is served on a buffet basis and provides a good range of both savory and sweet options. We would return to this hotel if visiting the city again and would recommend it for a quiet stay in a nice area.

Room Tip: Ask specifically for a twin or double room as they have both and our tour company did not specify wh...

Just returned from 6 days in Prague staying in the Cloister Inn. This is our second time staying here and it's as good as ever.
Location is about as good as you can get-right on the edge of Stare Mesto which is the place to be, yet within easy walking distance of metro stations and main attractions.
The area is riddled with good restaurants and cafe-bars. Follow. The locals and you'll find good food at reasonable prices.
The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and has a great standard of housekeeping in the guest rooms.
Breakfast is fresh and plentiful although after a week is a little repetitive.

The best part of the stay in Cloister Inn was the staff. Very friendly, helpful when booking tours etc and always smiling.

Cloister Inn offers fantastic value for money in a great central location.
Hopefully this will not be our last trip to the Cloister Inn - looking forward to going back!!

Room Tip: Room 527 seems to be one of the largest in the hotel and comes with a sofa, desk and feature wooden...

We have just returned form a two night stay in the Cloister Inn and couldn't have been more pleased. The hotel is warm and welcoming and the staff are helpful and friendly. We stayed In a large spotlessly clean room with a decent sized bathroom (no bath) but very large hot shower and hair dryer. Breakfast was the usual continental in a canteen style room, but clean, and plentiful.

There is no bar or restaurant at the hotel but plenty of free tea and coffee in the reception area and the hotel is a only a few minutes walk from many restaurants and most of the sights.

I would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: We had room 223 which was a large, warm room on the second floor, the only disappointment was that w...

This is the hotel I always choose when I am in Prague. Great location, superb prices and good service. Just 5 minutes away from the oldtown square.
The hotel has only one room for disabled on the ground flour. Be prepared that there is a separate entrance for that room. The personnel is always eager to help getting there. The room is suitable for three people and is really big and fully equipped. The bathroom is spacious and has all equipment for disabled.
Unfortunately there are stares to the buffet, still the personnel can always help you!

I believe its the best hotel at this location! I enjoy every stay there!

Just returned from our 4th visit in 9 years to the Cloister Inn. it hopefully will not be the last! We have always found the hotel spotlessly clean, warm and hospitable. Breakfasts are continental in style and plentiful.
The hotel is in a perfect location just 5 minutes from the Charles Bridge and a 10 minute stroll to the Old Town Square
