“Fun stay on Old Town Square”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2013

Location, location, location. The Lippert is directly on Old Town Square and you might get a room with windows opening wide to the party! We enjoyed the carousing and activity, but if you're looking for quiet perhaps a room to the back might be better.
Comfortable room with enough wardrobe and storage, and a decent bathroom. The breakfast was tasty, with a wide selection of fruit, cereal, meats, cheeses, breads, sweets and hot selections. The staff, as we found typical in Prague, was not especially warm, but they did their job - we just marked it up to a local personality characteristic.
We had a wonderful stay in Prague and really enjoyed staying right in the heart of it all at the Lippert.

This is the best location. The autonomic clock is a few feet away. The old town square it at the door. My room faced the square and the view was great. Every attraction is only a few meters away. I was interested in the Jewish sights and it was almost at the door. The staff is very helpful. Breakfast which is included was plentiful and good. The room was large and very clean.

Room Tip: If you need very quiet, as for a different view from 303. It quieted down after 11.

I wouldnt recommend staying elsewhere! This hotel had the perfect location...it was right in old town square...its cheap and very clean. Yes, it is noisy...you will hear tourists screaming fun and happiness in the wee hours of the morning but i thinks its just a part of the whole prague scene. Fun, drinks,excitement...of course i an not forgetting the sight seeing! Will stay again if i go back to prague!

Good location and helpful staff.

We had room 304 (3rd floor) which was spacious enough and overlooking the old town town square. We expected it to be a bit noisy due to the location, but we had no problems with this other than a garbage truck one morning.

The furniture and design of the rooms feels a bit 90s and doors and furniture is a bit roughed up around the edges, but it's clean and tidy. About what you can expect for these prices at this location.

It's walking distance to more or less everything.

I would recommend it.

This hotel was a fabulous find. Prague is a city with lots to offer, and this hotel is one of them. It has an amazing location, right on the Old Town Square. Our room was big and clean with a comfortable bed and wonderful bathroom complete with a hair dryer, magnifying mirror and lots of light. It looked over the square, and we could see all the action from the window. Fortunately, the double windows kept the room quiet when we were ready to sleep and the crowd on the square was still partying. The staff was very helpful and accommodating, a bit limited with English, but they tried very hard to communicate with us. The breakfast was one of the best we'd had in our 2 weeks in Eastern Europe. The hotel arranged safe drivers to get us from the bus station and to the airport at a fixed price. They even arranged dinner reservations. Daniel runs a very efficient organization, providing plenty of service for a very reasonable price. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Prague.

welcoming people, pleasant food, nice wine....just lacked a little atmosphere but probably because it was out of season. Would recommend to anyone visiting prague. it is tucked away in a corner of the old town of prague.

We chose the Lippert after reading several reviews on this and other sites. The location looked perfect and we were not disappointed. We arrived in Prague at around 6pm local time and proceeded to the hotel to check in. Check in was smooth, several forms to complete, the usual really. We did notice that the staff were not great with the English language, but being quite a small hotel we did not expect much, and it didn't cause us any problems.
After being shown to our rooms the first think that took us was the size, the room was huge. There was a large entrance hallway, a huge bedroom and a more than adequate shower/bathroom. The wooden ceilings were high and painted beautifully, there was plenty of storage and seating within the room along with security box, minibar tv etc. We were slightly disappointed with our view, we were given a room looking over a side street rather that the main square, but it didn't spoil the experience too much.
The beds were very very hard. If I weren’t such a lover of hard beds I might have found it unbearable, my partner said the beds were too hard and caused discomfort.
We also noticed that the room was very hot, even with the air con on or the window open. It was the middle of November when we visited so didn’t expect that.
Breakfast was lovely and for the price offered a good range of both hot and cold food, the service could have come with a little bit more of a smile though.
Overall we thought the hotel was great for the money that we paid. The location is perfect you could not be any more near the action for exploring the city. Should we visit Prague again we will definitely consider a second visit.

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the square when booking/checking in
