“GOOD AND BAD”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

Location, excellent, less than a minute from Charles Bridge.
Hotel, Very quick to respond to my Email request for a room with a bath, also offered to book the taxi to and from the airport. We did find this cheaper on line. We arrived early before checking in time, but only had to wait a short time before being shown to our room.
Room, Large room right next to the reception with 3 single beds 2 pushed togther. This was not really a problem, but could hear the front door being opened and shut as people left and entered the hotel, also the people entering the offices next door, this was not really a problem as we were out most of the day.The room was very dark no ceiling lights only bed side lamps, i did ask if it was possible to have another lamp in the roon, but was told the room was for resting not working.I did not want to work just put on my make up and do my hair while my huband used the bathroom. I was told i should used the bathroom.
Bathroom, Yes large and bright, but the cracked tiles on the floor were sharpe and made the floor look dirty, this was not the case the rooms were cleaned daily.Take your own toileties as mention before, one gel for all i.e hair, shower, bath etc.
Breakfast, Always plenty of choice, hot not really to my taste, but thats just my opinion, and i never went hungry.
Would i recormend this hotel again. YES just not room 222.

I have carefully chosen my hotel for a short trip to Prague this month and I must say that I am extremely happy of having picked Bishop's House hotel. I know Prague very well and I know how difficult it is to find a hotel in the enormous offer available. Many establishments have extremely good location and facilities but fail miserably in the quality of the service. This is not the case of Bishop's House. The service is excellent, very friendly and professional without being invasive. Many small touches in the room and in the common areas show a great care for the customer. The wi-fi is free, in the room there is all what is needed to prepare tea or coffee, the rooms are beautifully quaint, elegant, with spacious bathrooms and they are fully equipped. The breakfast is definitely up to the standards, even though I did not indulge too much in it. I can only confirm the positive reviews I have read here, and I can hearthly recommend this hotel.

just come back from here and its the 5th time weve stayed, spotlessly clean, friendly, inexpensive and right on the end of charles bridge , bang on central, the breakfast is amazing, 3 hot dishes to choose from which change daily, all different fresh breads, all fresh salads, boiled eggs, every cooked meat you can think of, also cheeses and preserves, the other side is coffee and tea machine, 3 fruit juices, ice cold water, a huge fruit bowl, and endless amount of homemade cakes accompanied with chocolate praline spread, jams, marmalades and honey. They cannot do enough for you, the arrange taxis and recommend restaurants, when its home time the rooms are spotlessly clean with lovely comfortable crisp white bedding, although i must admit the beds arent the comfiest, the lady whoo serves the breakfast every day deserves a medal she is absolutely incredible she runs her breakfast service like you are at the ritz,,,, would not stay anywhere else in prague when i know what quality of service you get here

Room Tip: room 203 is big enough for 4 people to stay in they will put another bed in for you, its is a triple...

Bishop House is extremely close to charles bridge, one of the best locations in prague. Inside its very comfortable, very clean, and modern. The price / value for money is excellent. If I return to prague I won't stay anywhere else.

I stayed in this Hotel for 4 nights and I really liked it. It's a very nice hotel, in a very good location (50 m from Charles Bridge). I was impressed with the staff's positive attitude, nice looking and clean rooms. They really payed attention to details, and this made me a really good impression. I strongly recommend to everybody who travels to Prague to check in with this hotel!

We stayed at The Bishop's House for 2 nights in January 2013. Excellent location for all tourist attractions. Although only 50 metres from Charles Bridge, the Hotel is very quiet. Basic facilities, (no Bar or lounge area) it is ideal for the Weekenders looking for somewhere to rest and sleep.
Breakfast better than I get at home! Staff very helpful and keen to make our stay a memorable one. Restaurants in the immediate vicinity a bit iffy, and touristy - OK for lunch, but not a special dinner. Better to take short walk into Old Town for quality. Would certainly recommend this place for B&B travelers, who don't require bells and trimmings.

We stayed at the Bishop's House Hotel for 3 nights just before Christmas 2012. The hotel is in a fantastic location, right in the shadow of the Charles Bridge. This meant you were within 10-15 minutes of the Old Town Square or the castle! Being students we didn't particularly want to have to keep paying for transportation.
The room was absolutely fine, reasonable space, safe, tv, tea and coffee. However our 'double' bed was two single mattresses pushed together. But during a short city break in Prague I doubt many people will spend much time in their room. The bathroom, however, was fantastic. It was large and the shower was great.
Many people complain about the lack of choice at breakfast but I disagree. Considering the size of the hotel there was a considerable selection of cereals, breads, pastries. The cooked breakfast changed daily the 3 mornings that we were there.
All in all a good, solid hotel with a brilliant location. Would definitely return.
