“Awesome Church”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2014

After peeking in to see the Cathedral while on a walking tour we returned to get a better look. There was much commotion in the area due to an official visit from the president of a neighboring country and after standing in line to get in we found out the tickets to get inside beyond the roped are were to be purchased at the visitor center across from the church. Another line ... The tickets were reasonably priced. However there is no literature and the audio headsets were very expensive - we only had time (energy!) for the one location not the other museums. It would be nicer with a live person guiding, but the audio gives a simple tour of this magnificent Cathedral. It was crowded late May.

“Lovely old church”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2014

This church is beautiful, has lovely stained glass and an aura of dignity. It is well within walking distance of the Bishop's House where we stayed.

“Beautiful windows”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2014

The windows are superb but it is such a popular place that it attracts so many visitors that it loses much of its intended tranquillity.

“It is just an OK cathedral to me”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2014

From outside, it is true that this cathedral is grand and huge; but inside it to be honest I am not that impressed.
Addition to that at the moment we were there, it is just too crowded in the church and we cannot enjoy the serenity of the place.
In my opinion Church of St. Nicholas is much better in the interior side.

“Walk is worth it...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2014

The walk is horrendous if you take the steps by mistake like us; I don't know if it was actually that bad but we were all hungover, full and boiling wearing our jumpers as the weather was forecast bad but turned out to be a beautiful day.
By the time we reached St.Vitus all our moaning turned to gawps and gasps at how magnificent it is, a real wow moment.
Defiantly worth the trek and a must do if your in Prague! Do not miss it!
