My first trip to Prague, and the Radisson Blu was a fabulous stay to add to an overall wonderful experience in Prague!
Staff - all friendly and helpful.
Ambiance - lovely and welcoming reception area.
Location - easy access to walk everywhere!
Rooms - spacious, updated, modern, clean.
Restaurant - breakfast was average. room service was average. (they forgot my order, but were very apologetic and offered free beverage and/or desert, no complaints)
I've always been satisfied with the Radisson Blu hotels, and this one was even better!

We have just completed a very enjoyable stay in this beautiful city. This was very much assisted by staying in this very good hotel. The location really suited us as it was about a hundred yards from Wenceslas Square. The main attractions of the Old Town Square and Charles Bridge were only 10 or 15 minutes walk away and of course the walk is through Pragues wonderful art nouveau streets. The hotel room was spacious and well furnished. Breakfast was the usual buffet style with very good choice to suit all tastes and appetites. The staff throughout the hotel were courteous and helpful. We were keen to dine in the Michelin starred restaurant in the hotel, however it was fully booked. I would suggest an advance booking would be a good idea. All in all, an excellent hotel.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for reviewing us her on TripAdvisor.
We are pleased to know we were a suitable match for your Prague trip. It is a pity you did not manage to dine in our Michelin Star restaurant Alcron, however we do encourage all our arriving guests to book it as much in advance as possible.

We appreciate the feedback and look forward to your future stays.

I stayed here with a work colleague for one night in September 2013. I was very pleased upon walking up the steps, to the customer service from the reception & the room itself was a good size, very modern, clean etc. We didn't eat in the evening, having a late flight in, we'd eaten beforehand.
Breakfast was buffet style with a wide choice to suit everyone- even freshly made omlettes with a chef cooking in front of you, if you want!
I believe the hotel has a gym, but we didn't have time to look at of use it.
I don't believe it has a pool.
Great location just of the metro line near the Museum & another station, so handy for getting about.

Rockey O'Rile's bar is just along the street if you want a local bar.

Room Tip: We were on the 7th floor, not sure if they upgraded us for free or not. No noise from outside of hot...

Dear Mr/Mrs. Sellwood,

Thank you for your kind comments about the Radisson Blu Alcron Hotel in Prague.
For our future guests I would like to mention that the hotel does not have a swimming pool, however there are separate saunas for men and women that our guests can use complementary. There is also a massage room in the fitness centre where guests can have pre-arranged private massages.

We appreciate your comments and we hope to have you as our guests in the future.

We stayed at the Radisson Alcron in 2012 and had left feeling exceedingly underwhelmed. We had paid a lot t treat ourselves to a stay in a suite, and whilst the service was friendly, and there was nothing particularly wrong with our stay, there were enough small niggles to leave us feeling short changed.

Fortunately, our complimentary stay this time fixed all the problems we had previously experienced. The suite was faultless, and the inclusive minibar and room service breakfast were a great help in a city that is becoming more expensive year by year. From the moment we entered to checking out, the staff were polite, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and genuine. Service/food in the be bop bar was efficient and tasty.

The hotel is perfectly located for exploring Prague, just off Wenceslas Square, and only 5 minutes walk from the Old Town. When we stayed here previously, Prague as a whole seemed to have a huge problem with men on the streets accosting you to try and get you to go to strip bars - which was a particular problem on hitting the square when leaving the hotel. This seemed to have been cleared up A LOT this year - really, noticeably better.

There are much cheaper hotels in Prague, but I would not hesitate to go back here. They proved on this occasion that they are worth the price tag.

Room Tip: HIgher level rooms avoid the street noise.

I stayed in the Radisson Blu Alcron for a week in August 2013. The hotel was one of the highlights of my Prague visit! It is located steps from the Vaclav Square, and within 5-10 minute walk from the old town square. The hotel is a true gem of new Art Deco architecture from the 1930s. It has such a good class and everything is with the right measure of taste. The service was great, very kind and professional. The only problem I had was that my key got demagnetized twice, which can happen anywhere. The rooms are spacious and those on the back are really quite. The price was very good for the quality offered in such a pricy destination. And the absolutely best experience was the little gourmet restaurant in the lobby! Amazing! It is expensive, but my goodness, this was the best dinner I had in many years. They make taste-size portions. About 3 or 4 of those are enough to get you quite full. Everything is prepared individually by the chefs and served with an amazing class. And it is the most heavenly food! I feel that my taste receptors have been asleep my whole life before I tried this food! These chefs invented most of their meals and deserve a gold medal for their creations. You have to make a reservation at least a week ahead of time to find a table. I highly recommend the whole experience at this Radisson!

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the courtyard - those are very quite. But the street view is not that bad...

We were sent to this hotel when our original hotel overbooked us. Hotel staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and to make our experience enjoyable,

Rooms were large and clean. Hotel in a great location and walking distance to the train station. Restaurant was fantastic (Michelan star). Breakfast was great.

Location central to main sights.

Stayed here with my husband Fri until Mon. Hotel is excellent location just off main square and walkable to old town. Rooms are spacious and tasteful , we arrived at 10.30 am and were able to check in right away, additionally we were allowed a late check out of 17.30 which was really helpful on a later flight out.

Free Internet is a bonus but the breakfast isn't worth the cost, go to Starbucks at the end of the street instead.

Hotel arranged taxis are better value than others, cost 600czk to he back to airport which s cheaper than we paid getting there .

Would definitely return back to this hotel

Dear Guest,

We appreciate your honest review here on TripAdvisor.
We are here to make our guests happy and we are happy we succeeded that. We do our best to let guests in their room even when they arrive earlier and late check-out whenever the occupancy allows it. The taxis arranged for a fixed price of 600 CZK to the airport are indeed in an agreement with the hotel and the rate is a very competitive one, however make sure to book one of these cars in advance as they are usually in high demand.

Thank you for choosing the Radisson Blu Alcron hotel in Prague and we hope to welcome you here again soon.
