“Excellent Customer Service and Luxury in your pocket”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

I am writing this review to appreciate the service that i have recieved from the hotel staff right from day one, walked into the hotel wasvery well greeted and they a glass of fine beer topped up my mood.
I personally want to thank Filip for making my stay very comfortable as he would give me all the information needed as he walks with a map lol, absolutely fantastic is that word of the day for this hotel and i feel this guy is a great asset for this firm.

To sum up !! Great location, Proffesional Staff, Reasonable prices for food and a "Five Star Stay" :)

Room Tip: The delux rooms are a good value for money.

We recently stopped in this Hotel and Spa pre our wedding in Prague. We arrived very late at night and were greeted warmly by lovely receptionist who assisted us with all our luggage. The room we stopped in was beautiful, large and spacious with copious amounts of wardrobe space. The hotel was clean and the maids did a wonderful job keeping it spotless.
Some of the staff were a little reserved, however we found the young bell men very keen and happy to help. The location is lovely however it is up a hill slightly so you need to be able to walk a little. It is close to the Underground station and the tram stops and with the castle a few tram stops away you are never farr from ideal places.
However, having stopped at 5 star hotels this is not really 5 star, dont get me wrong its lovely but its not luxury.
The spa is lovely with a large jacuzzi and steam room, however staff were slightly confused when asked times it can be used by guests, but we went and no one was there so had it all to ourselves without a problem. Did not eat here so dont know about the food, however the cocktails in the garden were wonderful!!!

My wife and I had an all-too-brief stay at this great resort. We were on a Vienna-Prague-Munich trip and ended up only getting one night here because our schedule changed. We had an executive suite which was very nice. When you check in, they escort you out to their patio/biergarten and bring you a complimentary drink. Then we went up to the room which had a sitting room with a table, closet, dresser, etc. and then the bedroom was beyond that and to the left. It featured a nice king bed, a flatscreen television and a small vanity where my wife could get ready to go out. The bathroom was very nice with separate tub & shower, etc. There is a minibar in the room that has a misleading sign that reads something like "Free minibar included and restocked daily" but when we left, they asked if we had taken anything from the minibar (of course we did!) and we were charged. Not sure what the story is with that one. The staff was as good as they could possibly be. They arranged a taxi for us on our departure and they also helped us arrange our train ride when we left. Also, our checkout time did not match up well with our departure so I asked if we could extend our checkout time and they helped with that with no problem and at no extra charge. The walk over the bridge and into the Old Town section takes about 20 minutes or so. I wish we could have stayed longer but that will probably just inspire us to try to go back. Nice work and cheers to the staff.

Room Tip: The executive suites are very nice.

Dear KenL,

Thank you very much for being so enthusiastic about our hotel. We are always very happy to read comments sharing happiness and joy of our hotel and staff.

As for the minibar - I have to apologize on behalf of all the staff. The minibar should have been included in your rate as you bought a Junior Suite Executive room type. I would kindly ask you to send us your banking details so that we would refund the amount of mistakenly charged minibar consumption.

Best regards,

Upon arrival, check-in was very swift. Whilst guest cards were being made we were offered a glass of bubbly each.

This was taken out in the lovely flower garden. First impressions DO count, this hotel looked the part, and by reading other reviews prior to travel, we weren't dissappointed.

We were shown to our room. Complete with kitchen spa bath etc. This was in the building opposite the hotel. The room was of good size however, we had to be moved into the main building as there was a leak in the bathroom.

As this wasn't to be helped we were offered two further rooms - to choose either one as our new accommodation for our break. Due to the inconvenience of moving we were offered either a bottle of bubbly or a free breakfast.

The hotel is ideally situated for Prague Castle (Nice Hill to climb) most other places that we wanted to visit were within walking distance. A few others were reached via the nearest Metro station (Malostranska).

We loved Prague, we WILL return again, and the Hoffmeister is our first choice of hotel "Hands Down".

I cannot rate the Pool and FItness centre as we never used them.

Room Tip: Room 316 was good. Off the main street - however trams could be heard. This is a city afterall.

we finally achieved a long held dream to visit Prague and had the most wonderful week there. The weather of course helped considerably. The staff at the Hoffmeister Hotel were absolutely first class. From the time we checked in, we were well looked after Drinks on arrival, chocolate in our room and all the extra attention to detail made for an excellent start to our break. The room was beautiful and the bathroom with large bath and shower was luxurious. Our room was spotlessly clean and nt only was the room cleaned every day, but the staff also prepared our room for night time. The hotel was a short distance from the town centre, and just acrss the road from Prague Castle (although a bit of a steep climb) With the weather last week being very warm we enjoyed sitting out in the terrace every morning and evening with a coffee a bier or a glass of wine, and the range of whiskies on offer was appreciated by my partner.

I cant rate this hotel highly enough, and feel that we should make a very special mention to the staff, the porter who took our luggage up to our room for us and was ever so helpful in suggesting places to go and how to find our way about, and the bar staff were so friendly and helpful, particularly the young blonde man who told us about Kutna Hora, and always had time to make sure that we were happy and got directions for us to go to Prague Zoo (which was well worth the trip). This was a wonderful hotel that we will be sure to visit again, and looking forward to it already. Thank you Hoffmeister Hotel for making our holiday such a special one - Ewen and Dorothea

Room Tip: Our room was a deluxe double and it was excellent

All advantages indicated below are true. Very nice and cosy interior, impressive sauna, polite staff. Hotel located very close to Prazsky Hrad, but it takes time to get to Staroměstské náměstí by walk. There are many swans and ducks not far away from Charles Bridge even in the winter, we feed them every morning. Breakfast at the hotel is very tasty, but could be more varied. Also they serve champagne in the morning! What I didn't like is that staff doesn't speak Russian, in spite of the fact that this language is very popular in Prague. That's why I will not recommend this hotel to my Russian speaking friends. In hotel's booklet written that SPA is free till 2 p.m. It means that you can use only jacuzzi at this time, sauna open only from 10 a.m. till 12 p.m. There are very nice terrace in the summer time. We would come back to Hoffmeister with pleasure.

Room Tip: Our Double room was very small with a tiny roof window. But as I heard all double rooms are differen...

Please be sure that you can happily recommend the hotel to your Russian friends. This is a coincidence that you did not meet any of our Russian speaking colleagues.
We are looking forward to your next visit in our hotel.

We spent 5 days in Hotel Hoffmeister during our trip across Europe. I must say it was splendid choice. We felt very welcome and comfortable in hotel.

My wife is enthusiastic for spa treatments and she almost instantly fell in love with their Spa facility. We enjoyed steam cave and couple chocolate massages. It was one of the best massages in my life. Moreover, we had 5 course degustation menu in hotel restaurant and it was exactly what you expect from Gourmet restaurant as they call on their website. You can't make mistake with choosing this restaurant.

Hotel is located near Prague Castle so you can basically walk everywhere and you don't need taxi or public transportation. Although hotel is in city center it is located in quiet part of town.

We will definitely come back again!
