“Excellent Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2014

This is an excellent hotel; rooms are very large by American standards and gigantic for Europe. The location is perfect; an easy walk to Old Town Square, the Charles Bridge, the Opera and Textile Museum. The staff is wonderful, very attentive, knowledgeable about the area and helpful with making various reservations for tours and dinner. We had breakfast daily and dinner one night at the hotel; the food was very good. The outdoor patio lounge is a perfect place to view the river, Charles Bridge and the city lights at night. As expected with any Four Season’s staying here was a pleasure.

Tweeted about this already but deserves another mention. Stayed here with my wife, young kids and parents. The attention to detail in the rooms - multiple stuff for kids (bathroom amenities, candy, bedtime stories, drawing books) plus usual array for adults was great. Rooms spacious and tasteful decor. Room service excellent quality and probably the fastest I've experienced. Sometimes being a little smaller has advantages. Staff service was very friendly and efficient and the overall ambience of the hotel is cosy and friendly. Location could not be better for old Prague, Charles Bridge, shopping and good food/bars. Good spot for the NY fireworks on 5th floor balcony. 5 stars all the way.

Room Tip: Have stayed here twice, river view suites of course excellent, however even secondary rooms were ver...

I don't know how the Four Seasons maintains its off-the-charts standards, all over the world. It's absolutely amazing. The location of the Prague property is ideal, convenient to everything and, as expected, the staff was superior. Our room was beautiful, with a full view of the Vltava which was filled with flocks of swans in the morning and an armada of barges in the afternoons. We would love to stay there again.

This is one of the best things that happened to us in prague. Staff was great and services suberp. One can expect no less from four seasons. I love this chain everywhere. Never failed my expectations. Thank you again four seasons for remembering the personal details of your customers. Great service!

The location, on the river, is exceptional. Views across the river and up to the Castle provide a special vantage. The service is impeccable. The breakfast is very good but not really exceptional but, again, the views are wonderful. The hotel is within easy walking distance to many Prague attractions as well as to public transportation to the Castle and other areas of town. I pulled my back (slipped on slick cobblestones) and the hotel had an excellent doctor come to my room.

Room Tip: Opt for a river room, pricey but worth it. Some rooms (I think on 5th floor) are spacious but only...

Of course Four Seasons hotels world-wide set the bar for excellence very high; and the Prague hotel comes very close to meeting any expectation you would have, especially in such a beautiful city as this.
We came for Christmas, and we picked the FS in part because we knew that it would have Old World charm and holiday decorations/atmosphere. We were rewarded on both accounts. The FS combines historic art and character with modern design and amenities in a very classy and elegant way without going over board in any manner at all. The Christmas decorations were consistently tasteful and warm throughout the public spaces and private rooms. We received Christmas gingerbread cookies and holiday cakes in our room. Nice! A very special treat was a performance in the lobby by the Prague Children's Choir -- unexpected and totally delightful!
As so many have mentioned, the location is fantastic for exploring the Old Town, Jewish Quarter, Charles Bridge, and hopping over to the Castle. Public transportation is very accessible as well.
Predictably, the service was outstanding throughout, especially concierge, restaurant and room service staffs.
We only had one major complaint and a few small quibbles, otherwise this would have been a no-brainer 5 stars. The big issue was that you receive free internet with the room, only to find out that there is an alternate, premium service available for $30/day. If internet is going to come with the room, then it should be the full-service. Considering the prestige of this hotel, the fact that virtually all guest these days use the internet, and the price point for the rooms, it struck us as price gouging to offer a premium service -- not to mention at such a price.
Another price related issue: the breakfast in the hotel is excellent; however, it is a bit pricey for the kind of Continental Buffet that is offered. There is an American Breakfast alternative for a small surcharge which offers a number of warm dishes. However, the # and kinds of warm dishes available really do not justify an additional charge. We think that as is the case in so many other hotels, either off a la carte OR a buffet. Don't parcel the buffet out like that -- very strange.
Finally, the quibbles: the shower head is pretty aggressive, hitting you with water pellets rather than being relaxing; our TV remote did not work, but they exchanged it out quickly; and maid service comes around early in the morning, so you have to put a "Do Not Disturb" sign out over night, I guess.
Also, we felt like there was some "up-selling" when we arrived. We were offered a Renaissance Room for an additional $100 per night. Once we agreed to that, the push for the next level began. It was a bit aggressive, though we did appreciate the first upgrade we purchased.
All that said, this is a wonderful hotel in a great location with top notch service. We certainly will return!

Room Tip: we upgraded to a Renaissance room -- it was fine for a couple, but we were concerned that our origin...

This is THE premium Hotel in Prague. We visit Prague frequently and have stayed in many of the highly rated hotels. Most have been excellent, but Four Seasons takes it to a whole new level. You are offered ultimate luxary, with the comfort and assurance of an international chain. The location is absolutely excellent as you are right in middle of the old city and car is not necessary. Above all the staff and the hospitality are wonderful, as expected, but with a flavor of friendliness not often seen. Although this is not a cheap accommodation for Prague it is an excellent deal for Europe in one of the most spectacular cities. Finally, the restaurant was in par with the rest of the hotel, with excellent menu, service and breathtaking views of river and iconic castle.

Room Tip: We stayed in two different rooms during our last trip and both were beautiful. If this is a special...
