“Perfect location at the bridge!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

Stayed here for three nights with a friend and found it comfy and charming. The location is perfect for exploring--just around the block from the King Charles Bridge. The staff was friendly and helpful--offered to carry our bags up to the 3rd floor for us, which we truly appreciated. Yes--the furnishings and interior are somewhat worn, but very clean and everything was in working order. The only real downside was that the proximity to the bridge and "touristy" atmosphere meant that one has to choose between quiet (windows closed) and a welcome breeze (windows opened.) Not a huge problem but would recommend earplugs to light sleepers during the summer months. The cost of the breakfast option was worth it though I would have appreciated more vegetarian-friendly options. (Note: that kind of applies to the country in general ;-)
Would stay here again without hesitation.

This was a tiny little place conveniently located by Charles Bridge. although the rooms and bathrooms were very small, it was all very clean and service was very good. the breakfast spread was decent but the location was excellent and we got a room with the view of the bridge. thankfully we didnt miss the ac because it was very cold and rainy while we were there. we will def re-visit this place.

This nicely located hotel, is just next to karlos bridge in prague, a highly populated area in the heart of the historic part of the city. There si no lift and the hotel decor si poor and old fashioned. The bathrooms are less than regular... The breakfast si good

First, I would like to thank you for your rating. Hotel building is 500-year old...maybe you usually live in a modern hotels, where spaces were prepared directly for accommodation. Therefore, our hotel has no elevator, which is not possible for historical reasons install, and some rooms are smaller then regular. But we also have large apartments and suites. This fact, however, is presented on all Web sites. Sincerely, David Starý, hotel manager

The location could not have been better for visiting Prague, and this offsets the lack of A/C and elevator of this hotel. The hotel in itself is pretty and romantic, inside a historic building, with rooms of different sizes scattered over 4 floors.......if you have problems climbing stairs ask for a room on the second floor (first floor is almost right on the street) or go to a different hotel. We asked for a quiet room and they gave us one on the first floor overlooking the square (not the bridge). This room was small and the decoration was ok, the bathroom very small and narrow......with no A/C it was terribly hot and if we opened the windows it felt like people from the outside could climb right in! We were right on top of people dining in the restaurant, so it did not feel like a quiet room! We asked to change after the first night and were shown a room on the second floor which was larger and nicer and one on the fourth floor, a suite. We chose the one on the fourth floor, quite a good climb, but a lot nicer and surprisingly cooler than the small room on the first floor. I have to say that the location is not very quiet being right on the bridge, however they do have good sound proof windows and we slept well even if we were facing the bridge. Breakfast was good. Overall we felt like the staff was very nice and helpful and did their best to accomodate our requests. The restaurant was ok, a bit expensive though.

Room Tip: ask for a room above the first floor

Situated at the western end of the Charles Bridge meant that you can sneak out right after breakfast before everyone else descend on the bridge. Being one of the oldest hotel in Prague has its charm including the painted wooden ceiling. With the charm of an old building comes little sacrifices like no A/C and not much space in the bathroom to put down your toilet bags etc but a very nice building. Handy to everything and breakfast and service great

Breakfast excellent, but rooms are really small even by European standards. Location at the Charles bridge is great but w/o AC u want the windows open and its noisy well passed 1am on Friday night. Staff was friendly and helpful.

It is a bit surprising to open your room window and see all the tourists taking pictures of you, ok actually they are taking pictures of the west tower of the Charles Bridge and the Prague Castle which is behind you.....Great location in the middle of the pedestrian stroll...I mean right in the middle from the Castle to the Wenceslas Square! Romana Risova the front dest manager...was a delight to work with about arrangements and her english was better then mine...great spot to spend a night or two...and oh I should tell you the breakfast buffet had everything you could want.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the Bridge side.
