“Excellent small hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2012

Great location, quite side street across from a police station and only a short walk to Old Town. Many restaurants and bars nearby. The staff is very helpful and will help plan any tours, transport, or ideas for your own solo excursion into the city. They also recommend a very nice nearby restaurant with a small coupon to go along with it. Breakfast offers many choices from eggs, crepes, cereal, fruit, etc. and many other choices. The lobby also offers mixed drinks and coffee until midnight. Would highly recommend Unitas Hotel to anyone planning a trip to Prague.

We loved the Unitas Hotel on our recent trip to Prague. The location is very convenient to everything. We walked every place we went. The staff were incredibly helpful. They are all lovely, engaging young people with impeccable English. We found it relaxing to enjoy a beer in the lobby on several occasions. The beds were very comfortable. It was also nice to be able to control the heat and fan in our room. The breakfast was wonderful, we rarely needed to eat lunch during our stay. We would definitely stat at the Unitas again.

Great place on a nice, quiet street. Never felt unsafe even though the hotel location feels a bit isolated. Only blocks away from the hustle and bustle of Prague! A friend joined me on my trip last minute and the staff managed to upgrade us to a larger (very large by European standards) room despite being booked solid. We spent the first night crammed in a single but spent the remaining 9 days living it up in a spacious double. The free wifi was excellent while in the lobby, not so great in the room but a minor complaint almost not worth mentioning. The free breakfast was basic but a nice and diverse option. Definitely recommend this hotel! Passed several hotels I had researched online while walking the gorgeous streets of Prague but never regretted my choice!! Thank you Unitas for complimenting an amazing trip!!

The Unitas is very clean, very quiet, and well located for walking to all parts of Praha 1. Our room was large, very clean, and comfortable. The location is good, but there's nothing to do directly on that street, as it's a bit out of the way. The breakfast was well stocked, complimentary, and pretty carefree. The hallways are incredibly large, and echo significantly. Can be a long walk to your room, but no worries. Only thing missing for me: an in-house or adjacent pub, and electronic keys. Very pleasant stay. Would recommend.

My wife and I stayed four nights in July 2012. Up arrival, the staff was most welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast each morning was delicious. I enjoyed a made to order omelet each morning. The staff gladly showed us the cell where President Havel was imprisoned by the secret police. Don't let the buildings history be a put off, it's days as a prison and you hostel are long past. Unitas is a first rate hotel in a first rate city.

Room Tip: A inside room facing the courtyard is more desirable than a streetside room.

This was a truly lovely hotel in a great location being only a short walk away from all the attractions of Prague. Our room was very large with plenty of space for everything and the bed was very comfortable. Air conditioning in the room worked very well which meant that the room was always lovely and warm. The breakfast was delightful - plenty of choice and excellent quality. All the staff members that we came into contact with were extremely friendly and helpful. All in all, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Prague and I would very much like to stay again!

Great hotel in a quiet location on the street adjacent to the People. Charles Bridge is 10-15 minutes walk. Stayed in the hotel for 3 full days in a superior double room for exploring Prague. The staff is very polite, attentive and friendly.
The problem for us was the hotel car park. Parking itself is in the yard, but to call it is possible only through the archway of the hotel, and the passage is narrow. Therefore, the mid-size SUV to drive will be hard. But if the car to drive to the parking lot will not be able to offer two options: on-street parking (near the police station) or a nearby hotel parking
