“Good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2014

Overall this is a very nice hotel. We really liked the area, a quiet road just off a busy main thoroughfare with lots of little bars to pop into. The hotel is clean and well cared for but very hot when we were there, probably due to the extremely mild weather!
I think our only slight complaint was at breakfast. The room was very badly laid out which resulted in a bit of a free for all with the potential for disasters. On the first morning there was an acute shortage of everything, crockery, cutlery and food but this did improve on subsequent days.
I would also defy anyone to sit on the chairs in the dining/breakfast room for any length of time, they must be the most uncomfortable things that I have ever sat upon!
We did like the hotel though, it was a very charming place to stay.

An impressive old building which has been nicely renovated. Our room on 3rd floor was small but clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly. The location is very good: a little bit off the main tourist areas but within walking distance (a few minutes to Old Town Square). Many cheap places to eat and drink close by, like Wine Bar Na šikmé ploše just around the corner. The only thing that made me a bit sad was that the room could have been made so very charming with a small effort... Like curtains without holes and a bit more consideration in the placement of lamps and mirrors... But we enjoyed our stay and can warmly recommend the place.

Cozy, convenient, great breakfast and nice staff, the room was super small and the bed was soft... but really for the price it was great! the windows were large and the doors were a bit tricky to open and close

The best part was the staff most of them very professional and helpful, booking, reservations etc. Rooms were OK. Breakfast could have been better. No gym and no pool. Access by taxis was limited, a bit of a problem night time as it was more expensive.

Thank you for your feedback.
I am glad to read that you were satisfied with our services and staff as we recently did some changes to improve.
We have no pool as we are not so big hotel and historic character of our building does not allow it (there are very few hotels with a pool in the center of Prague).
Taxi prices may be high if you use unreliable provider - that´s why we offer our hotel taxi.
I am sure we offer one of best values accommodation in Prague and we recommend to book directly on our hotel website.
Regards from Prague.

Love this hotel, it is the default hotel for Prague. I have been twice and friends have stayed at as well. No issues. Breakfast is OK. Parking is valet. Location is good. You do not hear people in other rooms. I do not recall hearing anyone outside. Stay and enjoy.

Hotel in general can be rated as a good. Although our booking was last minute and we got the rooms at the last floor with mansard , for a fair price of approx. 90 euro. Just be careful with your heads, as always tend to forget about the mansard ceiling . Bathrooms were clean. Breakfast was very basic just normal staff with eggs, cheese and ham and some jams. Breakfast is held in the underground, where it might be rather stuffy or to cramped when lots of people there. In general hotel has a nice design and some gothic feeling to it. Location wise - it is about 15 mins walk to the old town. Hotel has also underground parking which might be useful for the travellers. The only problem we had with the reception staff in the morning - who behaved rather arrogant and bossy to us when we started settling the payments, some more totally screwed up with our bank cards and actually swiped extra charges. 2 month later we finally got the payments back on our cards, but feeling was spoilt by the way the staff was talking to us. So just believe that management need to do some training to their staff on customer management.

Thank you very much for your feedback, which we value a lot.
Please be informed that we did changes in our staff to prevent this kind of misunderstandings. It was mistake of our reception and we took measures to prevent it in the future.
You can see from later reviews that reception is well rated now.
Just a short note to your location description - we are on the the of the Old Town and it is not more than 5 minutes walk to the very center (Old Town Square).
Regards from Prague!
