I found this place walking in Mala Strana, up Nerudova towards Prague Castle. So if you are in the area looking around, and want some good vegie food, this place is handy.
I can't agree with the other reviewers who thought the food was bad.... I was really pleasantly surprised. It was only 160 Kc for "all you could eat" and including freshly home made ginger tea. On a beautiful Prague spring evening like it was tonight, it was nice to sit outside in the courtyard, even if not all the plants there have leaves yet.
My plate was nothing like the one, from the reviewer who thought it was bad. I had a broccoli and bean soup; rice with two curries, sorry for my lack of gastronomic knowledge, but a red and a yellow one. The yellow one surprised me a bit, it was quite a different flavor, very fresh, made with zucchini and a real contrast (but nicely balanced) to the first one. Then a fried pattie made of beetroot and nuts / seeds and probably some other things. All the tastes were really nice and worked well together. I have to say, I saw a Hari Krishna poster on the wall and was not expecting much - vegetarian it would be, but I wasn't expecting flavor. It was a range of unusual dishes I hadn't had before.
The dessert was a really lovely texture - I think they said it was halva - but it was like the smoothest fudge, in a banana custard.
I asked if it was vegan - I'm not vegan but I didn't recognize anything in there that was eggs or similar.... and I thought it could just have been the best vegan meal I'd ever had. The girl at the counter said it was vegan except for the custard, which was made with yogurt. So if you are a vegan, you will be able to eat most of it.
I also really liked the atmosphere of the place - staff very friendly and laid back, and they let me practice my bad Czech on them (yes they speak English too!). I didn't find they were pushing religion or beliefs in any way. Like almost all vegetarian cafes everywhere, there are a few brochures around for upcoming eco-fairs, massages, and the like, but certainly you were free to ignore them if you wished.
The courtyard was nice, but inside the restaurant, it is nicely decorated, colourful and friendly without being too fussy.
So - Recommend. According to the business card, they also offer intuitive massage, which might be a helpful option for anyone who is killing themselves walking up and down the hill of Mala Strana.
