“Fabulous tour of Prague”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

We were fortunate to have a very knowledgable Tour Guide who had excellent knowledge of the history of Prague, as she had lived there all her life. Nina was witty, informative & it was clear she had a love of her home town & was eager to impart her knowledge to us. We loved the variety of the tour. Firstly, we embarked on a walking tour of the Old & New Town, followed by a boat tour, where we enjoyed a lovely Czech beer & then disembarked for a delicious traditional meal (there was a choice of 4 main courses). We did hear a couple of people complaining, however the majority really enjoyed the food at this historical restaurant. If you are vegetarian or just don't like European food, then lunch here probably would not suit. After our lunch, we headed off over the very busy Charles Bridge (be careful of pickpockets) & then onto the tram to the Prague Castle. This is an amazing place & we could have spent many more hours here, however, as we were only in Prague for 2 nights, had to settle for the 6 hour tour to see as much as we could in a short time. The tour was meant to be for 6 hrs but Nina extended it to 6.45 hrs - considering most Prague residents are not paid a great deal, we were very impressed that she did this for us. This tour is value for money & we would like to thank Nina for making our day a memorable one.

“The Ultimate Prague Tour”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2012 via mobile

On a very cold December day, we took the Ultimate Tour by foot, tram, and boat with our tour guide, Blanca. First of all, this guide was very knowledgeable in terms of history, architecture, politics, and daily Czech life. We toured on foot through the Old Town, took a boat ride on the river where we enjoyed a hot wine, had a typical Czech lunch, and finished our day at the castle. Blanca not only was an excellent guide, but she was readily available to answer our many questions. We would definitely recommend this tour with Blanca to our friends.

“OK tour, poor meal”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2012

The tour covered 6 hours, and was quite informative, although the guide could have used some more time giving interesting information and correspondingly less to (not so funny) jokes. The lunch was however a great disappointment. Advertised as "an excellent meal", and considering the price we payed, we had some expectations. What we got was a soup with no taste at all, the main course (a selection of four) could maybe rate as ok, and a very dry and small cakeroll as dessert. In our case, we had the advantage of being a small group (15). With a larg group (there seems to be no limit in size), I expect the tour would be much more chaotic.

“NOT the Ultimate walking tour”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012 via mobile

The ultimate tour includes a 3 course lunch, a boat ride, a tram ride, and guided walks around the magnificent city of Prague.

Unfortunately, the tour we took was disappointing in most cases.

The 3 course lunch was average, with a choice of four options. Note that any vegetarians only have a choice of one meal option. The food was neither substantial in terms of quality or quantity. Some of us noted that the tour guide had a meal that seemed more interesting than was was offered to the people on the tour.

The boat ride before lunch was ok, but we wouldn't have preferred if there was a commentary on the sights or buildings that was passes on the river, instead of a commentary on the lunch options.

We ran into the Free Walking Tours of Prague group, which our guide took some pleasure in running down. The fact is that we had taken the free tour the day before, and. I believe it was far better in terms of content, humour and information than the paid Ultimate tour.

The last straw was finishing the tour on Prague castle,, and being asked to pay 24 Kr for a return ticket back to the starting point. If the company is charging 1200Kr for a 6 hour tour, surely the least they can do is to include the 24Kr ride back to the start.

I would recommend the Free Walking tour anyday over the paid Ultimate tour.
