“Moving”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

A hush quickly fell on our group as we worked around the exhibits here.

The harrowing account of the aftermath of Heydrich's assassination gave us all pause for thought - but well worth a visit.

“Very Moving”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

This church is the location where Czech freedom fighters, who had assassinated the SS Head, Heydrich, were caught and killed in WW2 after being betrayed by one of their colleagues. The crypt to the church is maintained as it was before the partisans were gassed, flooded out and shot. The site provides a history of the background to the assassination and details the appalling atrocities that were carried out by the SS in retribution. The site is not very well publicised but it is well worth a visit to recall and pay respects to the amazing bravery of the Czech freedom fighters. The church is close to the river, only about 15 minutes walk from Charles Bridge.

“The most fascinating story of Prague history”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

Just outside of the central tourist areas you will find one of the most interesting, and lesser known stories of Czech history leading up to WWII. The church itself is quite beautiful in its simplicity. The display in the museum tells the story leading up to the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich, and the consequences befallen on the people afterwards. The story is in Czech and English and very well written. There are some fascinating and rare photographs from the time too. The crypts themselves are eerily cold and incredibly moving. The fact that bullet holes still persist through this building just adds to the realness of the experience. Definitely a must do when visiting Prague.

“Very informative”

Good museum with all the history and events surrounding the assassination attempt - going into the Crypt after reading all the information was really atmospheric - must watch Operation Daybreak now!

“A real must-see.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

Although it was near the top of my list of places I wanted to visit on a short trip to Prague, it was by accident, after getting lost that we came across the Cathedral. I was familiar with the history of the building already, but it made the harrowing story become very real to see the bullet holes in the stone exterior. I'd definitely recommend venturing inside, my partner who accompanied me was very moved.
