“Wow! Don't miss this one.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2013

A very different place, with the firm emphasis on high quality meat and fine beer. Striking décor sets the scene with old meat conveyor rails and a cold room full of mature beef for all to see. Very good service, beautifully prepared and cooked food, terrific flavours and amazing choices. And deserts were brilliant.

“Good tasting food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2013

It was a nice fine dining experience. Service was quick and efficient. Food was a little different than what i lean towards. I always like to try something new when i am on vacation. Best part was knowing on how much care the owner puts into his product.

“Excellent food but too aggressive service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2013

The food is excellent but too expensive vs quantity.
The restaurant staff is a bit aggressive pushing and trying to sell making that way confusion.
Atmosphere is a bit noisy, too loud crowd without the sound of music.

“The modern Czech dining experience I was looking for”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2013

Went here for lunch on a Sunday before catching our flight home, and it was really the perfect ending to our Prague weekend. I only ran across this place because I was interested in going to one of their sister restaurants (Lokal), and the logo caught my eye on their website.

Amazing selection of steaks, and cooked to perfection. Loved the sides as well (best dumplings I've ever had and perfectly done spinach and cabbage), and the creme urquell was oh so tasty. Split a nice dough bun dessert thing with some pear brandy, and we were in a wonderful food coma for sitting on an airplane.

All the servers were extremely friendly and attentive, especially considering our English-only handicap (and this place definitely didn't seem as frequented by tourists).

I don't get what people are complaining about on prices. If I would have had the same meal in NYC it would have cost 2-3x the price. I know it's not NYC, but I still felt like it was a great deal - especially considering the quality.

One word of advice - allow a few extra minutes to find the place. From the outside it looks scary, but once you're inside you'll be in heaven. Not to miss!

“A bit pricey - but that's the only question mark”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2013

Something exceptional in Prague - amazing food (steak house), you can choose in VERY detail what exactly you want and how prepared. The food is simply perfect, good beer to that. Very good service, central location a couple of steps from Wenceslaw sq. No cemplaints in any respect (just a bit higher prices - but for reason).
