“Great hostel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2014

Stayed here summer of 2013 with a friend. We shared a room with 14 other people and it was great. Friendly staff and very nice receptionist who was happy to help. Good location, about 10 minutes walk from main station, granted it is up hill but keeps you fit. Myself and my friend walked round loads of Prague from here only using public transport to visit the skull church which is worth a visit!

This hostel is really amazing! It is really comfortable and has everything you need: space, privacy, entertainment, a really cool and gentle staff, a nice breakfast and a really nice style in the decoration! It isn't very far away from all the attractions (though a little bit)... I enjoyed a lot my stay over there, and it is actually not expensive at all... it is amazing how many things they can give you for such a fair price!

Absolutely loved this hostel, I don't think I can recommend it enough! This hostel was so so cheap. The rooms were lovely and clean and spacious (although we were on the top floor and man that was a workout!). The staff were AMAZING - so friendly and helpful, even when we were drunk! Great vibe in the hostel, particularly loves the sign about "no douchebaggery"!!! Also, great wifi all over the building. I will definitely be staying here next time I visit Prague!

First of all let me just say our time here was overall really, really great! There were a few good bits and quite a few bad bits, but for the price we paid we were really happy!

We went as a group of 6 (3 boys, 3 girls) ages 18-20. This place has quite a young vibe, there is graffiti and paintings on the wall etc which we thought were really cool.

The first guy on reception was really welcoming, gave us good advice and told us all about where to go and what trams to get etc.

We arrived at 10am knowing full well we couldn't check in until 4 so we went out for the day. We returned at 4pm and still couldn't check in which was pretty annoying. We were in the 14 bed dorm which is on the top floor (no lift, if you're unfit do not book that room!) so was cleaned last by the cleaner. We couldn't actually get into our room until nearly 7pm which was fairly annoying. However we did sit in the chill out area by reception and watch TV til our room was ready.

The beds in the room were actually horrific. I have scratches on my back where the springs came through the bed sheets in the night. The second night we came in we also found people in our beds... that was fairly awkward. We had even left stuff on the beds so the cleaners would know these were occupied. We sorted everything out ourselves at reception didn't really know what was going on. It was nice having single beds as opposed to loads of bunk beds!

The showers were hot and quite powerful so was really happy with these. It was also really useful having kitchens on our floor - if we had wanted to cook we could have and we used the glasses. The cleaners cleaned everything everyday which was good.

The location of the hostel is really good - it is on the outskirts enough that you are surrounded by cheap bars and restaurants and on a tram line that takes literally about 4/5mins to get into the centre of prague. We used the trams the whole time they were there and they were really efficient.

The guys really enjoyed the "basement" and played on the ping pong table alot during our stay. There was a balcony to smoke on too.

On the day we left the lady on reception booked a taxi for us to the airport that we were really grateful for.

We met some amazing people whilst we stayed here and it was a fantastic base to explore Prague. Just please get some new mattress' blind eye!

Spent five weeks travelling Europe this summer and Blind Eye was undoubtedly the highlight of our trip in terms of accommodation.
This is a seriously cool place that seems to attract seriously cool people- everyone we met was great to talk to and totally up for coming out with us in the mad city of Prague. There's a cool film culture theme throughout this place and there's an endless supply of films for you to crash out and watch if you fancy a quiet one.
Even the little things like the free computers and all you can eat & drink BBQ on a friday night for something stupidly cheap like €3 make this place a must-stay if you're in the city.
Awesome place, even better people. We were only meant to stay 4 nights but extended our stay to 6.

The price in this hostel was very good, nice breakfast include and the staff was amazing. They gave me all informations about my plans in town, maps and best options. It is a little far away from downtown, but there 'tram' very near, so for me it isn't a problem.

Wonderful place to stay in Prague - both for those who want to rest and those who want to party. People that run Blind Eye are unique. When I came to Prague I was supposed to stay in a different hostel but something went wrong, and I was in city at about 11 p.m. My first hostel was closed, and I didn't know where to go. Finally somebody told to try Blind Eye - it was open. I was lucky...

Room Tip: Room at the attic - the best view.
