“Food not so bad, spoiled by service!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

Walking in to this restaurant, I was impressed by the decor, cool comtemporary Japanese style, clean crisp and a nice big fish tank, but it ended about there.
We stood in the entrance for a few minutes and no one came to us finally a man in a suit came over, we asked to see the menu and were given a take away menu to look at! once we decided that we would eat here we went over to the bar we stood infront of the man (manager maybe?) and he ignored us, the waitress rolled her eyes deciding maybe she should do something and looked up, finally we were shown to a table and left to it, the man in the suit seemed more pre occupied with the other few patrons rather than paying us any attention, the waitress was not that much better, our food came out and I will say at best it was average, the tuna was sinewy and the tempura batter was pretty heavy and would have been more suited to fish and chips than vegetables.

Apart from that the menu is vast and the portion sizes are generous, the Nigiri we had was nice and the rice was soft, the maki rolls we had were good although I picked the batter off this special roll as it was too heavy for the dish, the food is presented well but a bit pricey I think for the quality, I think it tries too hard to be something it is not.

Throughout the meal we felt like we were an inconvieniance and that we were being looked down on. Both me and my partner are frequent travellers and have been to many establishments, rarely feeling how we were made to feel in this place. At the end the waitress was a little demanding for a tip, and we were quite happy not to leave one having felt that one was not deserved, Go here if you want to pay high prices for poor service and average sushi but there are loads more better restaurants in this city!!

“First class Japanese cuisine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

My daughter and I dined here Saturday evening. We made the reservation via the internet. The restaurant is non-smoking and offers free wi-fi.

When we arrived at 19:00, there were very few other diners. We were presented with an iPad each containing the menu and the wine list. Each selection was accompanied by a picture and a description of the dish. Only when the "order"selection was pressed did the price appear. It was possible to cancel the order if required. Additionally the staff spoke English in the event of a query.

There was background music playing a a very low level - just perfect. The decor and general ambiance was simple in the way that suggests that a lot of thought has gone into it.

Table settings included chopsticks only, however our beef dish was served with conventional cutlery.

We ordered a selection of dishes, soup, sushi, tempura, and beef Teryaki with ice cold Asahi beer. The service was quick and efficient, the food was variously clean, crisp, succulent and very tasty.

Finally our Visa card was accepted without a quibble.

“Do you deliver overseas?!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

I want it now. I want it everyday. The sushi quality is superior to what you would expect in a small quiet restaurtant.

This one exceeded my expectations. The sushi is fresh, flavorful, with great texture in every bite. The service was the best in any restaurant in Prague. I eat, go out to smoke, come back to find a new surprise of a plate, and then repeat.

Go to the bathroom, even if you don't need to, just check it out!

And order the dessert. Fried wantons ice cream thing was very flavorful.

Have some of the flavored ice tea as well, or take it home. Just try it.

“great food!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2012

went here last night with 4 of my friends. the food was amazing. we went there late so i think some of the waiters had finished as there was only 1 waiter serving the whole restaurant. this made things a little slow and they also ran out of tuna which meant we didnt getting everything we wanted but what we ate was delicious...

it was not cheap but well worth it. if they can improve their service and make sure they dont run out of food it is definitely a restaurant to try... all round we were very happy.

“Really nice sushi restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2012

Just off the Old Town Square, the decor & ambiance is spot on. The menus are on iPads that allow you to order remotely, very cool. The food was excellent, though a little pricey (for Prague anyway). Recommended.
