“A WONDERFUL STAY”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

We really had a very lovely stay at the RESIDENCE LEON D'ORO. The room was really big, more like a little flat, with a kitchenette and a huge bathroom.
You can go everywhere walking, no need to take a taxi or public transport. The location is unique and the staff very polite and helpful. Breakfasts are served in a a lovely room and are very good. A PLACE TO GO WITHOUT ANY HESITATION.

Great location- just round the corner from the famous clock and an easy walk to all the major attractions. Some of the rooms have a small kitchen but you do have to ask for them. The beds were comfy, the rooms clean and the buffet breakfast was great (but get there early if you want bacon). The people on the front desk all spoke English and were nice and friendly.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a kitchen if you like to have a fridge.

We stayed here in a triple room for 3 nights and thought it was great. The room didn't match the photographs on the site but we had our own kitchen (with fridge and hot plate ring included), a large bathroom and separate rooms – one for my boyfriend and I and one for my Mom. The only real complain is that the beds aren't that comfortable and you only get one flat pillow, so woke regularly.
The breakfast was brilliant and the best we've had staying in mainland Europe! Not just fruit and cereal but scrambled egg, bacon, tiny sausages, toast, cake, fruit and cereal, with a choice of different juices and coffee machine. A great start to the day.
It's very near Old Town Square, only a couple of minutes walk away, and with a small shop to buy food and drink (beer from 9kc!) around the corner as well as many other great bars, restaurants and shops.
The staff were very friendly and booked tickets to the puppet theatre for us as well as helping with directions and holding out luggage on departure day.
I would definitely stay here again and we really enjoyed our stay.

Just returned after a 2 night trip to Prague and stayed at Leon D'Oro. What a great location! Its central for everything. The room we had (a double) was huge with an equally huge bathroom. We were on the 5th floor and rear facing so there was no fantastic view but it was really quiet and pleasant. The hotel is surrounded by bars, restaurants and all tourist attractions are within walking distance. Continental breakfast is served from 7.30-10.30 and there is plenty to choose from. Although it is a little basic, you could fill yourself up for a good day's sightseeing with no problem. Bed linen, towels and general cleanliness of the room was of a very high quality. Staff were helpful and very nice and when I return to Prague I would not hesitate staying here again.

We were grandparents and family of 6 in Prague. Rooms were like small apartments allowing for privacy for adults and comfortable second bed for boys. Clean and at the end of the hall on 2nd floor it was mostly quiet. parking under hotel was wonderful, location couldn't have been better. Breakfast was more than adequate to start our day.

It is a three star aparthotel. Don't pretend the luxury of high of the chain hotel, but apart from that you get everything you ask for. A very spacious room/apartment with a large bedroom, a separate kitchen are (quite small) and a living room.

The check in and check out is extremely fast & the single reception staff are all very friendly & helpful, and go out of their way to help you out.

Breakfast is buffet style, but quite basic.

The only downfall is that there aren't any telephones in the room. One has to use his mobile phone all the time.

On the plus side, location is super perfect!!! 2 mins from Old town Square, 5 mins from Wenceslas Square and with a small market just outside of hotel!!!

What can one ask more from a hotel?!

Room Tip: Upper floors ... quieter rooms !!!

Although the location is good (close to astronomic clock) the rooms on the low flats are very noisy -it is impossible to sleep . There is no AC in the rooms therefore you have to open the windows and the noise from the street is horrible - We couldn't sleep for the all night. the sleeping beds were in a close inter room without air and sun. There is only One elevator which have to serve 6th floors and it was usually full so we had to climb the stairs by foots. instead off staying for 4 nights as we ordered from booking ,as it was classified 8.2, we left after the first night.
we don't recommend to anyone to stay at this place ( it is certainly not an hotel ).
