“Wow what a real gem”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2012

We recently spent 3 lovely nights and days in Prague and I must say we could not have picked a more magnificent hotel than the Deminka Palace. We had booked one of the Royal Suites and it was huge, clean with lovely decor, our suite was on the corner and had a little inside porch with a table and two chairs were you could sit and watch the world go by below. On the first night we were in room 204 whatever you do,try not to accept a room on this floor, the hotel has a disco in the basement and it is open everynight from 9pm to 6am we didnt get a wink of sleep our fiirst night as it felt like we were in the disco itself!!! with the loud and constant boom, boom, boom. The next day we asked at reception if we could move to a higher floor and they moved us to 304 without any hassle at all,we could still hear the music in here but not enough to bother us too much,we think the moving of rooms is a regular occurance as on the last night when we were waiting for our taxi to the airport in reception we overheard another couple asking to change rooms.
The reception staff in this hotel are second to none and always greet you with a smile and a friendly chat.On checking in on our first night they gave us a map and lots of information about trips and how to get around Prague, they also gave us a 10% discount voucher for The Deminka Restaurant which is attached to the hotel, make sure you go as this is a lovely place to enjoy a beautiful meal in a great atmosphere.
Breakfast is served on the top floor and is more than adequate to help you start your busy sightseeing day in Prague.
A liittle walk upwards from the hotel saw us arriving at a lovely christmas market and if you walk downwards from the hotel you come to Wenceslas Square which is quite a big shopping area carry on walking down the square and at the end you come to the quaint narrow streets that lead you to Old Town Square absoulutely gorgeous, from here we managed to find the Hop on Hop off we had bought 48hr tickets for.
All in all this is a fabulous hotel so go ahead book it you will not be dissapointed,it really does deserve an excellant score and if they could only sort the soundproofing out on the lower floors it will most certainly get lots of excellent votes in the future I am sure.
Now go on get it booked!!!

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for a room on a higher floor than level 2,due to the noise from the disco in the b...

We spent 6 fantastic nights at Deminka Palace and were sad to leave. Deminka Palace's website captured our interest with their very spacious rooms and exquisite interiors before we even arrived. The hotel lived up to the promise of the website. (Deminka offers far larger rooms than any other hotel's rooms we considered in the same price range),

We arrived late in the evening and opened the front door to a grand entrance-way with chandeliers and a red-carpeted staircase. You can choose between the modern elevator or the elegant staircase to reach your room. We were greeted by name at the reception desk as we arrived and this personal service continued for our entire stay.

We had booked a Superior room but when we opened our room door we were absolutely delighted to discover a beautiful suite (Room 404). We went to confirm at reception that we had been given the correct room and were greeted with a big smile and confirmation that we had been upgraded at no cost. : ))))

Our corner suite was incredibly spacious, with entrance hall, diningroom/kitchen, enormous bedroom with kingsize bed and beautiful chandelier, dressing room, bathroom and sweetheart balcony. The decor is very elegant, being minimalist and crisp. The bathroom was very modern. There was a large flatscreen tv in the bedroom.
Free wifi was available from our suite.

Previous mention has been made on TripAdvisor of a club close-by. It appears to be in the Deminka basement. We could hear the beat of the music in the distance at times but it did not cause us to lose any sleep.

Breakfast was available in the breakfast room on the 5th floor. A wide variety of hot and cold foods was available, fresh fruit including kiwi frui, mini breakfast cakes/tarts. Plenty to eat..

Deminka Palace is 5 minutes walk away from Wencelas square and the metro station, and about 15 minutes walk from the old town. Very conveniently located. There is a small Tesco store half a block away, an ATM across the road and a vegan Loving Hut Restaurant 2.5 blocks away : )).

The service from the team at Reception was enthusiastic and professional. It was clear they enjoyed their work. They organised car rental, airport shuttle and offered other general directions very efficiently at fair prices. They informed us of a parking area opposite the hotel that we could use for free between 6pm-8am. The airport shuttle organised by Deminka was very professional with a Mercedes Vito minibus. arriving spot on time at 4:30am as we had an early flight home.

We highly recommend this hotel if you want a taste of the grandeur of Prague. This is a place far more special than a standard hotel. We would certainly return!!

Room Tip: Room 404!!! An extremely spacious corner suite with lovely balcony that makes you feel like royalty.

We stayed here with friends, they had a junior suite and we had a superior room. The rooms look like they use to be apartments because of the size. The junior suite was amazing #207! We loved our stay and would come back.
The only draw back to our room #308 was it had a bath tub with a hand held shower head and no shower curtain (not sure how they could add one with the high ceilings) not a problem for us just an fyi. We did love that our room faced the inner courtyard so it was quiet. Our friend faced the street so with the windows open it was noisy. One of the earlier reviews said you could not find the entrance of the hotel...they fixed that there is a sign now and you must be buzzed in.
The breakfast was amazing the rooms were beautiful and the location was good. I agree with all the positive reviews!

Room Tip: If you want a quiet room ask for one facing in off the street side.

We chose Deminka Palace using advices of TripAdvicer and we were not dissapointed.

The location is really very comfortable, very close to the main square and to subway. Several Czech restaurants are near of it. Find restaurant where you may find beer Maestro. Veeery tasty. You will never try such beer anywhere. Bubbles of it are coming down!

Ok. So the Hotel.
The meal was great - lots of very tasty dishes. Very tasty. So after breakfast you'll be roly-poly =)

What about the staff - it was mostly neutral. One day there was not so friendly guy on reception. Very ood guy.

Rooms were stuffed with everything you need and it was clean.

Ok, what else. I recomend you this hotel personally, because I liked it very much!

Myself and two other friends booked this hotel a while back mainly due to the good reviews. I must say I was really really impressed, we had a superior room and it was huge! Really lovely to come back in the afternoon before we went out in the evening. The room was very well cleaned, the staff on the front desk were all friendly, accomodating and knowledgable. The whole building is very elegant and grand.

The location is also very good with excellent access to the local sites. Also there is a tesco just a 2min walk down the road.

I use this website a lot to book hotels and have stayed in some very good accomodation, but this is the first review I have ever written because I was just that impressed. I dont think anyone would be dissapointed

Room Tip: Didn't see the normal room but I think its wortht the little extra for the suite (booked a super...

I love this place because it feels less like a hotel and more like a home.

We got the Junior Suite and it is huge with a separate room for dining and kitchen. The only thing I wish it has is a much larger toilet which is not so utilitarian.

The location is a bit off the beaten track but Prague is so beautiful I don't mind walking a little more. In fact it's better away from the overcrowded touristy Old Town. Anyway, it is about 20 minute walk at a good pace to the Old Town.
