“Rude and no food”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2011

We were really excited to enter the Fragola bar, it looked exciting and swanky. We had several waitresses wander past until eventually after pulling faces at the group of them chatting with some friends at the bar, one of them came over. The once animated face of the waitress turned surly and she took our cocktail order. After the second round we scanned the snack menu and attempted to order some french fries. We were told in more surly tones that the restaurant doesn't open until 10pm (it was 8-30pm!!). The drinks weren't cheap and the staff were just downright surly and rude. There are much nicer places in this area to visit. We've heard from others similar reports of the unfriendliness of the staff and one couple who did manage to eat there said the food was average to poor. Shame, what could have been a great place let itself down with unpleasant service. Kolkovne has better places such as the Nostress.

“Give the restaurant some time before visiting”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2010

Visited this restaurant for a lunch couple of days ago. Fragola project is perhaps aiming in combining a club with champagne bar/restaurant. It opened recently (few months back) and that is where I see the biggest problem. As said by very nice bartender over that time this restaurant/project has changed its management and staff.
First when you enter, you are overwhelmed by perfect design of the interior. Old-fashioned furniture combined with chick tableware, large posters of Don Perignon & Moet are accompanied by great colour combination of white, black, yellow. Prior to our visit I checked the menu on their website and was looking forward to taste a Czech cuisine with a twist of Asian fusion. Dishes hard to find elsewhere. It was to our great disappointment to find different menu of bold "internationl" cuisine a combination of pasta, fish, salads and sushi (which we did not have the chance to try). I was told by the waitress that they changed the menu just yesterday and that the website has not been updated yet. Well... after my visit I read an article in Czech magazine about Fragola and apparently I was not the first one that experienced this. Also not mentioning the fact that the waitress could have been much more approaching considering the fact that over the lunch she had 2 tables (4 ppl) to serve.
Location is superb. Few steps from the Old town square but that does not justify the price of 400,-CZK - (20USD) for a main course. There are better places in Prague where you get a lot more for this money.
Overall enjoyable experience but will not return any time soon as the restaurant needs to find itself. Currently there is something going on on their website so lets hope for better tomorrows.
