“Fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2013

Fantastic Food and a cosy place. What a shame we were refused a glass of tap water. We were Told the boss wouldn't allow that. That was a bit of a disappointment. Otherwise very friendly staff and reasonable prices.

“Yummy breakfast and cappuccino”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2013

Stopped into this place for breakfast. It was yummy and they had several options including English, French and American breakfast types. Staff was attentive and friendly. The table next to us ordered lunch and it looked even better! Giant lamb shank that looked delicious and when they noticed me salivating they confirmed it was great. I'm certain they were local businessmen as well. The decor is cozy and unique. Great place!

“Better quiche than in France!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013

Small homey place, personal servise, excellent home made food, and you can even watch it being cooked. Soups, snacks, deserts - delicious. Fast but so pleasant that you do not want to leave. Feeling as you sit at your friends (or your own) living room.

Have to try! Atmosphere undescribable.

Enjoy the daily homemade soups served by very joyful staff. The daily selection presented in buffet style clearly gives the feeling of being at your own 5star farmhouse. You coffee lovers Don't forget to try. Amazing

“Simple, delicous and inexpensive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

Home Kitchen could easily be missed as you walk along Jungmannova Street just off the centrum: it is tiny. But the food is simply delicious; the hosts - a couple of youngish guys who lovingly prepare the meals - charming; and it was such good value. We enjoyed a three course meal - soup, main and a shared dessert (but plenty enough for two) - plus drinks (a local beer and a fiery ginger beer) all for under Kr600. This is not high dining but tastefully done home cooking, with great flavour combinations (try the chicken, sweet potato and pesto combination) and fresh ingredients. The best we've had here yet.
The decor is simplicity itself - wooden tables and benches, so you seat shoulder to shoulder with whomever is there at the same time; an open kitchen so you can see your meal being prepared, nice background music; maximum capacity would be about 12 but they have plans for expansion. They do breakfasts and lunches too, but are closed on Sundays.
