“Don't bother”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

Been there in Christmas Eve for a fix menu dinner and the following disclose our "festive" dinner experience.
It was dark. I know it might sound weird to some of the readers but somehow we have expected to dine in a less darker place (at least as it is presented in the pictures provided by the management ) - after all it is Christmas eve...
We were followed to our table by a very friendly hostess and it seems that someone has hastily left our table before we've got in. One of the napkins on the table was unfolded and it didn't bother the hostess at all.
After a long waiting, the waiter finally took our order (and replaced the used napkin...). We've also ordered a bottle of wine and still water.
We haven't got the promised Amuse bouche, but the starters have quickly arrived to our table. However, the drinks did not... So we have waited again...
After 15 minutes we were finally able to catch our waiters eyes and ask him about the drinks.
He has left us waiting few minutes more and then came back with the wine but with the wrong water (sparkling and not still as we have ordered...).
Then we had to wait for about 45 minutes more for our soup.
Just after we have complained to the manager about the terribly sluggishly service, the soup came, but not the one we have ordered...
Again, this chaos has been continued with our deserts where we have not got the desert we have ordered (according to the only one possible choice we had in the FIX menu...)
It looks that the service was not better with the tables around us. Our nearby table was abandoned 3 times and again by few couples who despaired to wait for their waiter to just take their order.
We do not think anyone deserve such a service especially in restaurant that charge 950 CZK per person before drinks and tip...

“'I want to be a posh restaurant but I fail completely', aka Como”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012

We booked a table for Christmas Eve, we were welcomed friendly...BUT
they put us at a table with no glasses or napkins, and there was only one menu list. The couple sitting next to us, was complaining to a waitress, and was asking to see the manager, (they told us after that they were waiting for their soup for 1 hour, and that before, in our table, there was a couple, who had just drinks and left dissatisfied). Sitting there, I noticed that 10 tables, at least, weren't served. The waiters were extremely unprofessional, no eye-contact with the customers. Only 2 were taking orders, and others were serving the food. Three people were at the reception, only greeting customers.
If a restaurant is busy, either you hire more waiters or you extend the responsibilities of the staff! Simple! On my right side, there were 3 people waiting for their food, and when the waiter showed up, he served only 1 plate for the gentleman! Nice! and the other 2 were watching him eating. Very professional! We tried to speak to waiters, who were ingoring us, without success. After sitting there for 20 minutes, with no napkins or glasses, no drinks and nobody to take our order, we spoke to the manager. He assured us that we would be served immediately! Yeah right! We waited for another 5 minutes and WE LEFT. Everyone was nodding, like congratulating us for leaving.
Our decision was the best! We didn't regret at all, as the service was horrible. On top of that, the food didn't look exquisite as well! As I noticed people next to me, the portions were small, and in general, food was nothing special. We went to another restaurant, paid half of the Como prices , ate quickly and left happy.
After living in London, where the bar is high and even local pubs have great service, my expectations are high, I know...but we can't forgive them, and we wouldn't pay a single penny to be treated like that.

“Service was horrible! Food okay.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2012 via mobile

After several mistakes made by the waiter it took us an hour ( not exaggerating) for our first course.
It was Xmas eve and not very crowded, we still didn't even get our first course the AMUSE BOUCHE. I will not return here and I would not suggest anyone who would like to have a meal in less than 3 hours.

Love the attentive waiters and bright spacious area.
Get a table by the window to watch the hustle and bustle of Prague.

“Great interior and good food, too”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2012

We ate here twice because it was so good. Staff were helpful and friendly, food was well presented and portion size about right (not too much!). Duck and chicken were particularly good. Live music on Saturday night was not too intrusive.
