“Nice hotel with good location for the price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2011

We spent 2 nights in the hotel. It has a very good location, 1 km from the edge of city centre, close to a metro station. The room was spacious, nice and clean, especially the bathroom was with a good design:)
Although the window of our room looked at the street with sometimes heavy traffic it was quiet.
The only negative experience is the breakfast, which was mainly from not very good quality ingridients, no fruit at all, very limited vegetables, the scrambled eggs and the frankfurter were fine, otherwise acceptable but not very good. We could live with that.

My wife and I have just returned home from a city break in Prague. We stayed at the City Central de Luxe hotel. On our arrival the weather was very cold with sleet. The hotel check in time is 2.00pm. We arrived at 10.30am expecting to be told we were too early. However, to our pleasant surprise the receptionist took the trouble to see if a room was free at that time. I am pleased to say a room was available and we were able to move in which was a great relief with the bad weather in mind. We were very pleased with the room. It was clean with a nice shower ,plenty of hot water, hairdryer and clean toilet, plenty of cupboard space and drawers. A safe is available at 50 csk a day. There is a television in the room but there are no english speaking channels to be found. There is also a fridge in the room. We requested an extra pillow each and this was no trouble at all. Breakfast was very adequate with scrambled eggs ,cereal, rolls, cake and the usual cheese and ham for our continental friends. Coffee and hot drinks are dispensed from a drinks machine. Fruit juice is also available. You won't go hungry or thirsty.
The location is good for the places of interest just 10 mins. from Wenceslas Square and the old town square another 10-15 mins . We preferred to walk everywhere but public transport is close to hand. There are the usual traffic noises to be heard and late night revellers you would expect in any city but this did not affect our ability to get a good nights sleep.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful and there is a baggage room to put your packed cases should you have an evening flight on your last day. We thoroughly enjoyed Prague which was made more enjoyable by staying at the City Cental de Luxe hotel***.

For a group of 11 males this hotel is simply all you need. The price, location and cleanliness is excellent, yes staff on the front dest are miserable, the breakfast is not exactly filling and the coffee is horrific BUT for less than £10 a night each sharing treble rooms you can not complain

The hotel is quite nice for those not willing to pay that much. Is excellent value for money. It is very well located because it comes easily walk to the center. Even have enough transport operations of the hotel. The employees are not the most friendly, but if you use the hotel just to sleep it will not make any difference. The breakfast could be better. Not much variety and especially the bread is always hard and dry. However I went there a week comfortably. I strongly recommend this hotel if your goal is just to use it only for the night and if you want to be near the center of town.

For that price, hotel is apsolutely ok... Its clean, location is excellent (10 min walk to the town center). Only problem is parking place,if you going with car, because hotel have only two of them... The food was also good... and you will not stay hungry :)
I dont recommend this hotel only for older people, and couples with small children, for everyone else its great place to stay.

Stayed at City Central Hotel on ~Revolucni 4 Prague. Was hoping that Prague was being stereotyped re youngsters being a pain, got that wrong. There were a lot of youngsters on our floor and it was a someone else reviewed like being in a youth hostel.
Give the hotel management their due, we came in quite late one night and there was a large group of teenagers sitting outside in the hallway with their pillows making a racket. On ringing reception they sent up security to send them back to their rooms.
The room itself was a reasonable size and the bathroom was very modern and clean. However, no hairdryer or aircon and it does get very hot at night.
We were only a five minute walk to the Old Square a lovely place but again ruined at night by noisy gangs of youngsters. Just cannot believe that such a stunning city tolerates such behaviour it really lets it down.
