“Great small hotel, great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2014

Situated in the heart of the old city, this boutique hotel is really great. The furniture and the feel is that of the well know buddha-bar brand, with a very strong far-eastern feel. Sumptuous red and black oriental design makes one feel quite special. Room and bathroom furniture is tasteful, the rooms are good size, amenities are great, l'occitane soaps, creams etc are just great. The bathroom is specially attractive...positively sexy with dark walls and great dragon motif mosaic bathtub. Superb. Very clean. We also liked the breakfast. It is quite extensive especially considering the size of the hotel . The staff is helpful. Yes, this is highly recommended. We enjoyed our stay. We were within walking distance of all major sites. It pretty much has everything. Just a minor thing...restaurant staff has black outfits by way of freestyle "uniform" they are ill fitting and messy. They could look cool, right now they do not...easily sorted. To sum up: great place, great staff

My husband and i traveled to Prague for a Romantic getaway and the Buddha -Bar hotel was the perfect place for it. It is luxuriously decorated in the colors of red and black and very well appointed. This hotel is all about romance. The service and staff were excellent and the breakfast fantastic. It is located very centrally so we were able to walk to most of the places and interest we had wanted to visit. Where there is a Buddha-Bar hotel, we will definitely stay again!

I didn't see this hotel when I checked Trip Advisor but my partner stumbled across it and I am really pleased he did. The hotel is a bit different to traditional hotels and this combined with its great location meant we had a very memorable holiday. We read some reviews that criticised the breakfast but we really cannot understand why because we thought the breakfasts were great - wide variety and vey ample servings

This is rather overdue thus I must be needing another holiday!
My wife and I stayed here between Christmas and New Year 2013 and had a great time. Prague is a beautiful city with so much history and staying this close to the old town centre was excellent. As it is so cold we didn't have far to walk to find things to do and eat and drink.
Hotel is small although welcoming when entering from the street and you wouldn't know it sits on top of a bar as there is no noise in the hotel.
Rooms I would have to say were rather warm and as I'm sure you have read (remember this is Winter), you are not able to adjust the temp thus we did open the windows occasionally even though it's freezing outside. Rooms are also dark although runs with the hotel theme and the room gadgets give you something to play with! Coffee machine is also a nice edition to the mod cons.
Staff are friendly and are very helpful - no problem with English either. We utilised the Hotel airport transfers which was a nice Audi - made it very easy to come and go with no hassles.
They do charge quite a bit for all of this even when you compare it to other hotels around the world. As mentioned the main reason I chose here was the location (especially at that time of year) and it was a 5+ botique hotel. In Summer (we I next visit) I certainly would consider going back to the Buddha-Bar although I would again weigh up the factors such as price and location - as always!!

5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014 via mobile

We stayed at this wonderful hotel for the first time mid May as a group of friends for four nights. We booked four premier rooms. The rooms are large and nicely decorated. The bathrooms are very nicely designed with top amenities. The lighting and some of the technology in the room can take about 15 minutes to get acquainted with but nothing complicated. The music system through the TV and selection of fusion music with speakers spread across the room is amazing.

The food in Siddharta restaurant and lounge was excellent whether for lunch or dinner. Breakfast which was included in the room rate was also very good. It wasn't an elaborate spread but the options were very good nonetheless and more than enough to enjoy and get one going for the day of sightseeing and exploring this beautiful city. Breakfast service was attentive and very pleasant and generous.

We also had dinner once at the Buddha Bar Restaurant two levels below the street level which is actually separately managed. The front desk booked us a table there. This very nice culinary experience will be a separate review.

This is a boutique hotel located in an excellent location of Old Town and within about three to five minute walk from the old town square, the new town square and the Palladium Shopping Mall. It's surrounded by excellent restaurants and bars in all directions. Nothing very close as to cause disturbance but very convenient nonetheless. It's located on a very small street that can about fit one car and enough for the taxi to drop and pick up at the main hotel door. I have seen some reviews complaining about noise from the street but these need to be taken with perspective. We didn't experience any noise. The windows are properly insulated to block the noise. After all this is a five star ++ boutique hotel and the noise levels are addressed well.

With all the above said, some hotels in Prague may offer similar room standard although I doubt as a boutique and special style as this. The service, pleasant attitude, professionalism and courtesy and attentiveness of staff at all levels, concierge, front desk, restaurant, bar, housekeeping, and every one was unparalleled. They are the real and main credit to this wonderful hotel. We thank them all without exception. They truly made this stay as wonderful as it was. We got help with all our bookings whether for tours and transport to Karlovy vary, all restaurant bookings anywhere in Prague, taxis. Anything we could think of. They are all very knowledgable and speak excellent English and always go that extra step.

All in all, this visit was excellent and will be repeated. In fact, I don't think I will stay anywhere else in Prague. I will go as far as changing the dates of any future trip if fully booked.

Thank you Team Buddha Bar Hotel Prague. Till we meet again, my best wishes and regards

The hotel is located right in the center of town just 2 minutes from the main square and WOW what a hotel. The staff was very friendly and the design is Buddha Bar 100%. I love this design. It is a very small hotel so you get all the attention you need from the staff. I certainly will be back.
