We wandered in while waiting for Vinografa (excellent wine bar next door) to open, for a quick bite. The restaurant was very pretty, with (oddly) a tiny open stream in the middle of the front dining room with live goldfish swimming up and down--so watch your step. The ambiance was appropriate for everyone from an American family (seated across from us) to a romantic tryst (seated next to us) to a group of young Czech students sharing beer and appetizers in the next room.
David was our server, and the service was absolutely fantastic by any standard. Attentive (but not overly so), helpful, and knowledgeable about the wines and the large menu. We only had small bites: sauteed mushrooms and garlic on toast, and a chestnut puree with a chicken croquette, some bread, tapenade, and a divine glass of local white wine. All of it was exquisite as well as affordable (especially for the quality), and we look forward to returning for a full meal later on in our trip. Not one complaint about the entire experience.
