This is a great hotel to stay at if "value-for-money" is a criteria for your travelling. It is on the outskirts of the city centre in a slightly seedy side of town but it takes 30 mins to walk to Wenceslas Sq and 50 mins to walk to the Castle. There are lots of interesting bars and restuarants around you that are cheap, cheerful and ethnic. The poor reviews you might get of this hotel reflect the pickier type of Brit Abroad who is looking for an alternative to the Costa Brava and is completely at a loss if they can't find sausage, beans, scrambled egg and bacon on the breakfast menu and are only going to Prague because they hear it is a good place to go and get pissed for a stag do. Sadly we saw a lot of them floating around town during our stay. The staff we found initially to be slightly cold but we soon realised that this was because they were shy and as one of them said to me " unused to dealing with english tourists".It's amazing how their attitude changed if you said "please" and "thank you " in stumbling czech. I can't complain about the breakfasts. The hotel catered for the calorie-watcher to high-calorie eater. The breakfasts were an ideal start to the day whatever your morning routine was. I had been concerned about the fact that it was meant to be situated on a busy road. We were put into a room on the top floor and could not hear a thing!!! If you can get a bargain price for this hotel then book it.
