Each year my wife and travel to Europe. Of all the hotels we have stayed at, and we try to stay at the best, the Augustine is by far the finest. Not only is the hotel physically attractive and located in waling distance of the town and castle, the people who manage the hotel could not have been nicer or more accommodating.

Our stay at The Augustine Hotel Prague has set the bar very high.

We chose this hotel after a lot of internet research, particularly on Tripadvisor, and really struck lucky.
We booked a superior room for 5 nights at the beginning of October on a 5 for 4 promotion, and never regretted our choice. It is difficult to fault the hotel,The location is excellent,in a quiet location but well placed for all the main attractions.Particular praise is due to the staff, who were universally charming and helpful.
The room was very comfortable,on the third floor at the rear, looking out towards the Castle, and the bathroom was memorable.Breakfasts were not included in the price, but we did take them each morning, and can recommend them.the dining room seemed very little used in the evening.
Overall, not cheap, but good value considering the high quality of the hotel, and thoroughly recommended.

We absolutely loved our stay in the Augustine! Although the location is very central and near one of the busiest tourist routes in Prague, once you enter the courtyard before the hotel, you are entering an entirely secluded, peaceful place. The spa and the wonderful treatments don't hurt, either. We had a bit of a hard time finding the hotel for the first time but after that it was all right. The buildings is clearly very, very old but the rooms are modern and nicely appointed. The staff was also very helpful and attentive. It is obvious they are proud of what they do. We would return back in a heartbeat.

Dear guest,

I´m very pleased to learn how much you enjoyed your stay at The Augustine. Our hotel is really peaceful and private place, where you can rest after busy day in town. And when you added one of our treatments in Augustine Spa, I truly believe that you had a good rest .

Thank you very much for staying with us and hope to welcome you or your friends back to The Augustine.

With best regards

All the positive reviews have said it all --. Tranquil location, superb service from attentive staff, very classy and comfortable rooms including upgrade to suite which was much appreciated. The one negative review complained about uncomfortable beds. They must have been fans of soft, squishy mattresses. Our mattress was suitably firm, exactly to our liking. My daughter had a room on the street and wasn't bothered at all by the trams. If you are, just ask to move. I can't imagine you won't be accommodated.

Located in the historical city of Prague, the hotel has kept this great Gothic style with rooms that are spread out in different wings of the property. Charm and elegance could not define better the place ! The Rocco Forte chain has done a wonderful job in making each room as authentic as possible with a genuine style. Don't think too much, go there and you will not regret it. Unparalleled luxury and service.

Probably not a better hotel to stay at if you are in Prague and can afford it. Stayed there five nights really nothing negative to say other then the drive way into the hotel is a bit cramp and difficult to get into. Hotel is on the other side of the Charles Bridge and Old town. A much quieter setting then the other side if you want piece and quiet. Breakfast options were good and staff was great with any request asked

The Augustine is one of the few premier hotels in Prague. It's location is secluded but only blocks away from the city center. The hotel, a converted monastery, is beautiful and the rooms are spacious and well appointed. The service was excellent and the food in the hotel restaurant was excellent. It has a wonderful bar with indoor and outdoor seating, and a small but serviceable fitness center. The only issue was the bed which was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever experienced thus rendering it impossible to obtain a full nights sleep. Concrete would be more comfortable. We complained and they improved it as best they could, but it was still a major problem. It's too bad because the hotel was excellent in every other way, but I won't stay there again.

Room Tip: Make sure your room does not face the trams, as they can be noisy at night.
