I made a booking with this hotel/apartment 4 months before the actual arrival date, the day before I was due to arrive, I confirmed my booking only to be told the price of the apartment had doubled! Apparently they had sent me an email 2 months prior, however I never received such an email! This appauling customer service, thankfully I found another apartment just down the road for a lot less than the price they were quoting me. Avoid this hotel/apartment like the prague, they are completely unscrupulous!

It took us a while to find as we went down the wrong road, but when we arrived, everything fell into place. The staff were very friendly and could speak English well. The reception was on the first floor and our apartment was on the fifth floor with our bedroom window facing the rear so it was pretty quiet at night.
The flat was spacious, warm and wowed us at first sight with a big living room, bedroom and bathroom, but when we settled in, we found that there were a few niggly items that could be improved. There were a mixture of old and new furniture. The new seemd ok though the couch we sat on for a feet up and a cuppa after a long day seemed to have a major design fault as it kept moving whilst we tried getting comfortable. The old were a bit battered and scratched, but still functioned as they should. The kitchen looked great, and with the presence of a nice gas stove, you would think that there would be pots and pans to accompany it, but we found none and plates and cutlery were also scarce. However, there were cups and a kettle for some home made brew and a nice big fridge to store our milk. We only stayed 3 nights and chose the breakfast included option, so all of this didn't really matter that much to us. If we had stayed longer, then there may have been issues.
Basic items like towels, shower and shampoo, wi-fi were provided, but no hair drier though. Perhaps if you asked the staff for items you want, then they may provide them, but generally the basics were present.
Breakfast was pretty basic which included cereal, toast, yogurts, ham, breads, fruits, a selection of warm food. Nothing too fancy, but was enough for us to start the day with.
Generally a very good apartment to stay in which was close to most of the major attractions and very easy to get around.

I went to Prague with two friends last November and this was one of the cheapest, nice looking places on the Hostel Bookers website so we decided to stay here. We payed around £25 each a night.

We got a taxi from the airport, it seemed to take quite a while to get there but that's to be expected. Royal Road was right next to a Haagen Das shop (yum) and a TGI Fridays so it wasn't particularly hard to find once you're out and about. There's also a little sign outside the door.

We pressed the buzzer and made our way up the lift. The lady on reception was absolutely lovely and explained everything to us. There was free wi-fi for us to use and she told us about breakfast.

Our room was not a room.. It was an entire apartment to ourselves! A huge bathroom with a bath and a shower. We had plenty of room for toiletries and everything worked perfectly fine in there. We had our own kitchen with a microwave, oven, large fridge and all crockery and cutlery!! Our living room was large with big windows and a little balcony/ledge which is ideal for smokers. There were two lounge chairs and a sofa bed in there with a big TV and table and chairs. The bedroom had a large double bed, big windows again, a full-length mirror and a chest of drawers.

If the 'room' wasn't enough, we were also right in the middle of everything. A five minute walk away from the bridge and the centre. We only caught a taxi once at night to get to a gig but walked everywhere the rest of the time (to the castle, the main shopping area, etc.) There was a cash machine a few minutes walk away and plenty of restaurants around.

We had a bit of a messy first night, coming in late and using all the pots. There was pizza everywhere and the place was a mess. When we got home later on in the day, we found the place spotless! Our pots had been washed, the beds had been made. We obviously felt absolutely awful and kept the place tidy after that but a housekeeping service in an apartment?!

We were really amazed by this place and could not believe it was being advertised as a hostel. This was beyond value for money and we've recommended it to a lot of people!!

There is no wifi and the apt we stayed was 5 mins away from the actual hotel address on booking.com and with construction going on during the whole time of our 5 nights stay. The construction gradually get worse by the day as even the apt entry way were removed and replaced with a wood boards to walk on as it was all dirt and mud by the 2nd night of our stay. We could not opened any of the windows and we had the curtains down the whole time as construction workers were just right outside of the windows from early morning till evening and the worst part is at the last day of our stay someone entered the apt when we were out and left several window pieces inside of the apt.We complained it to the hotel manager of this safety issue when we checked out the next day morning, she basically yelled at us and said the house keeper enter the apt everyday and they have the right to do whatever in the apt.Which is just totally wrong! She even asked " did you lose anything? if not why you complain about it ??!!" Not only that, the TV was not working even though the manager insisted it work, there is definitely no safe in the apt, and when we inquired about the heater which were not working either, the answer we got from the manager was " I don't know where you come from but the heaters don't work cause it's not cold yet" Like I have said, they don't know what customer service is ! there is no phone at the apt so we have no way to contact the hotel unless we walk back to the main office, we felt we were ignored the whole time during the stay. When we checked out and asking for discount of all the issues we had, the hotel manager actually argued and yelled at us and refuse to admit the problems. She even said why we didn't talk to them earlier about all these issues (which we did) then they can change room for us - but to be honest, the hotel should have offered a room change when we complained on the 2nd day that there is no wifi. The manager offered a 10% discount at the end but said she only offered it for no wifi at the apt but she thinks even 10% is too much for the issue". I would definitely not recommend this hotel in any way due to the bad customer service and the hotel does not look like the pics on booking.com at all, everything in the apt was barely min furniture with no deco- even though the location is good but there are so many other hotels in the same area. This is by far the worst customer service we have received, this is a hotel to be avoided.

We visited as a couple just as the snow was falling and the Christmas fairs were on, so it was a pleasure to be able to see the Old Town Square from our room windows. The rooms were warm and comfortable, the service was great and the location was unparalleled - right next to the Charles Bridge. I've already booked us in for the same time next year.

I was most worried about recent bad reviews about this apartment after I have booked it. The management wrote back to assure us that the lift and hot water issues had been resolved and that we will have a pleasant stay. It was very prompt of them in their reply.

My family indeed had a wonderful time staying on the top floor. The apartment was huge and adequately furnished and clean. Some minor maintenance would have made the apartment even more pleasant and value for money. The location is right smacked on a busy "pedestrain" street leading to Charles Bridge. And close to Old Town and other attractions. So you may have to put up with some noise as expected.

I was surprised there was even a reception and breakfast service given that there are not many apartment units. The staff there are SO genuinely friendly and helpful. I have no problem with currency conversion. I was surprised we were asked to pay whenever is convenient during our stay.

We had asked for hand towels, hair dryer and umbrella, and staff was just simply amazing in providing them. The breakfast selection is fairly simple : coffee, tea, eggs, small sausages and cereal. Just enough to kick off our morning.

Overall, it is great apartment to stay. The noise is expected since it is smacked on a prime location. Breakfast is simple and limited in selection but enough to start your morning. The staff are just superb.

This is a funkly place. The web site clearly gives the impression this is a luxury apartment hotel but the reality is a bit different. Our unit was spacious and reasonably clean but the Ikea furniture was battered and near end of life. Despite the fact that the unit could sleep four or five people it boasted a total of three forks and two knives in the supposedly "fully appointed kitchen".

The dishwasher was broken and clearly had been for a long time. The shower fitting was broken and the hot water heater oscillated between boiling hot and stone cold so showers were an exercise in running from one end of the tub to another.

And they charged us 20 Euros for a quite modest load of laundry. None of the units have washing machines and there is no on site laundromat so be warned. We felt ripped off by that. Our apartment door was flimsy and had a gap underneath so we were woken by the comings and goings of the drunken teenagers next door on the weekend .. not really the hotel's fault but points to poor design in a recent renovation.

The location is great and the staff were delightful. And the breakfast was just fine. But this place will slide downhill if they don't spend more money on keeping the units up to standard.
