“Great steaks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

The restaurant is in a historical cellar. Steaks were great, service as well (except the welcome stuff). I can not say anything negative and will visit Cowboys again.

“confused american”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2012

I decided to try this restaurant with my girlfriend after reading all of the positive reviews from other reviewers claiming that these steaks were on par with those from the US. After the expierence however, i am a bit confused as to why the steaks are so well regarded.

I recommended the fillet mignon for my girlfriend because everyone knows that it is the safety steak. However it was a fail - we ordered MEDIUM, but we recieved OVERDONE.

My steak: the medium rare T-bone was fine, but not exceptional.

In general, average food however overpriced.

PS Good wines (order Sonenberg - Ryzling Rýnsky, year 2011 and spinach for the side)

“Good but...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2012 via mobile

Atmosphere and service are excellent! A medieval surrounding decorated with led lights creates a cozy feeling. Service is very attentive and speaks English well. Regarding food - it's good but the bread which comes before order is fresh but not warm. they use local and Uruguaian meat. Fillet mignon is made of local meat which seems to have less amount of fat I used to, although cooked well. Its better to clarify this before making order. Baked goat cheese is delicious.

“Great atmosphere, cocktails and steak”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2012 via mobile

Lovely building a bit out of the centre. Roof terrace amazing in good weather but as was snowing we were in well appointed ground floor. Service was impeccable and friendly. Cocktails were great and priced similarly to UK prices. Wife and I both had steaks for main which were excellent, cooked just as we liked and big fat juicy ones at that. It's a more expensive than other nearby restaurants but I think worth it. Recommended.
