“Fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2014

Everything was just perfect. Place, waiter, food and and wine. Had the wine menu and it was the best choice ever. Amazing. Will come back next time.

“One of the Best Meals Ever - Anywhere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2014

We have eaten in many great restaurants, including Noma in Copenhagen, which was just rated the best in the World, again. Our experience at V Zatisi would rival, and probably surpass, that one. From the amuse-bouche, to the soups, to the entrees, everything was beautifully presented, perfectly prepared, and exploding with flavor. Our selections included the Indian tomato-lentil soup, the baked yellow pepper soup with basil-mint oil, the roasted quail breast, the mustard tandoori tiger prawns, and the monkfish special. The latter was my wife's favorite fish dish - ever. We skipped desert, despite their tempting offerings, but will certainly try those on a return visit.

“Wonderful hidden restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2014

Located near the Betlem Square, you have a chance to discover this hidden jewel of gastronomy only if you deserve it!
The service is friendly and very professional. The atmosphere is cosy, comfortable and stylish. The food is outstanding.

We were offered a fine amuse-bouche before the service of cjosen dishes.
A very special mention for the indian menu selection.

This is certainly one of the best restaurants in Prague!

“Treat Yourself - Really Good”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2014

We had been advised to get recommendations on where to eat when visiting Prague. This restaurant was a recommendation and a fantastic one.

The menu on the evening we dined was split into 3 options across the Entree, Main and Dessert - an Indian option; a local option and an international option. Our selections were superb

The ambiance and service equalled the food.

If we return to Prague - we would definitely book a table in advance just to ensure we wouldn't be disappointed.

“Stunning!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2014

I highly recommend this restaurant for a number of reasons; the atmosphere, décor, friendliness of staff and last, but absolutely by no means least the quality of cooking! They offer a fairly small choice of dishes, which in my view is always a good thing. It generally means that the kitchen has time to concentrate on getting a few dishes spot on, rather than offering many dishes and not making any of them to perfection.
There are two chefs, one Indian and the other Czech and so there are two distinct themes. I chose the former and it was just superb! Having ordered, a wonderful selection of homemade bread along with an amuse-bouche of marinated quail with mushroom promptly arrived at the table. The quail tasted just out of this world! It really was excellent.
For my starter (see photo), I chose the Indian appetizer sampler which consisted of a mustard infused tandoori tiger prawn, a piece of tandoori chicken with mint-coriander chutney and saffron yoghurt and finally an Indian tomato-lentil soup with a green pea "tikki" croquette. The flavours were just perfect and the pea croquette an absolute joy!
I would like to consider myself as a bit of a connoisseur of Indian dining having eaten at literally hundreds of Indian restaurants all over the world during the past thirty years or more. The food here was as good as I've had anywhere, almost! The one and only criticism I would make was the combination of components in the main course. I went for the saffron marinated tandoori fillet of monkfish with spice cherry tomatoes, crab chutney and spinach masala pureé (see photo). Each of these elements was just sublime in their own right, but as a combination I found the textures all pretty much the same. What this needed was something with a bit of bite or crunch to give some variation to the plate. The flavouring and quality of cooking however, especially the fish and crab chutney was really something special!
