Try the traditional Czech platter - you won't regret! Not very cheap, but nice service and food. Very well located as well

“Amazing ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2014 via mobile

Despite thinking the look was just to lure tourists in we decided to go In any way , this restaurant was amazing! Medieval knights walking around and then we had a magician attend to our table and start doing magic.. Don't see that everywhere. Had the goulash was amazing, staff are very nice and friendly also.
Made for a very good start to the evening.

“Located in a toutist corner of Praha AND terrific”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2014

We enjoyed one evening with good beer and food at this place. From the outside you would not enter since its located directly at the Wenzels square in Praha. But when you enter and see all the good it changes. A good sign is that many local people are there.

You can order a good Pilsner Urquell and make a choice of your food. Its local cuisine, and be careful, the portions are large! You definetly do not require are starter. The main course is sufficient.

Good is that the food is presented on images and it is served exactly as shown. So you see what you get.

The service is friendly and quick. The staff speaks many different languages and its very simple to recognioze be the name plate on each staff member.

I will certainly return.

Price information: We had 6 beers and two main coursec for 1700 CZK (about 56 Euros). Fair enough.

“Excellent hearty Czech food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2014

We ate here as a treat on Christmas Eve. Although the restaurant is themed, in a prominent location and advertised as specialising in Czech food we didn't get the impression it was all put on for the tourists despite the map in the gents where you had to put a pin to indicate where you are from! The place was packed, very busy and had a great atmosphere when we were there. Staff were great and made our visit. They were all dressed in medieval clothes which complimented the food which was very hearty and meat-based. (Would recommend the meat platter!) We were starving when we arrived and devoured the selection of tasty breads we were given. My husband really enjoyed the soup based dish served in bowl carved out of bread. All in all a very memorable visit.

“A place to remember”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2014

We guessed this medieval restaurant was for tourists, but still we gave it a try while spending the afternoon in Wenceslas Place. The traditional czech plate is the best! great music and ambience... and delicious complimentary drink (just found out it's called Becherovka).
