“Great food, great atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013 via mobile

Already from the reservation, we know that this restaurant was something out of the ordinary. The staff taking our reservation went out of their way to find a table for us at the right time, although the restaurant obviously was packed for the evening. The dining experience did not stand back from our first impression of the place - the staff was friendly and the food was great!

“Great Food!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

U Emy Destinove Restaurant has beautifully served and deliciously prepared gourmet dishes. We had excellent service and everything tasted fantastic. The plate presentation was exquisite. The atmosphere was warm and comforting. You can dine while sitting on sofas next to a fire - very cozy. It is a bit off the beaten tourist path in Prague, but worth it. Some restaurants that are highly rated in Prague do not have the actual quality in their food. This place does have it. Enjoy!

“Ok business lunch”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2013

Business lunch menu was mostly pasta dishes so we ordered some. Portions were large, taste was ok. The ambience is nothing special though. If you are looking for a simple lunch, go ahead but for dinner there are surely more atmospheric restaurants in Prague.

“Three course dinner for a Steal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

As has been mentioned in many posts, we got a coupon through a local reservation website in the Czech Republic and decided for a non-home booked meal last Wednesday. For the record, we come to this restaurant about every 3-6 months for a nice evening out.

Our meal consisted of three courses (appetizer, main, and dessert). We had a very nice bottle of wine for about 700CZK- there are cheaper and more expensive bottles available depending upon your price range. Our appetizer was a fantastic, melt-in-your-mouth boar ravioli with a wonderful sauce and what I think was wild blueberries. The main course was boar as well and was absolutely decadent. For dessert we had a pumpkin cheesecake - also absolutely delicious!

For those looking for a nice dinner with a bit of atmosphere head over there on Wednesday or Thursday evening where there is live piano music playing classic tunes from days gone by. During the winter it's not uncommon to also have a lovely fire to accompany the music and your wonderful dinner.

Prices are reasonable for the food and the chef is incredibly attentive. You will no doubt feel like a VIP in this restaurant!
