Well, I reached my hotel pretty late. Without any thought, I just went into a cute little street corner pizzeria next door. I went without any expectations.
The decor of the restaurant is pretty basic, just like your neighbourhood trattoria. The staff is nice, smiling and welcoming. Being the first night in a new city you are kind of ambivalent about the people you will meet and the experiences you will have first hand.
I was delighted with the experience, mostly because it was unexpected. The food is not out of the world, but kind of cosy and comforting. You know what I mean, don't you?
And do try the tiramisu. It is exceptionally good. They told me it was their speciality, the house tiramisu was the proud declaration!.
The prices are quite reasonable, and you wouldn't have to run to the nearest ATM after dinner. If you are in the vicinity, this charming little place comes with my recommendations.
