“Deminka Palace”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2013

My fiance and I stayed at Deminka Palace September 28-October 10, 2012. This hotel was so wonderful in every way. It far exceeded our needs and expectations. The staff went above and beyond our every need. We were showered with smiles and courtesies each and every day. The breakfast bar was food fit for the Gods and when I didn't show up one morning the waiters immediately questioned my fiance about me. I was surprised with a complete tray of food catered to my room. We loved it so much there that we now have four pen pals we correspond with on FB. When we return to Prague in the Fall we will definitely be staying at The Deminka Palace. Sincerely, Kaye Ella German, Jacob McClary

“Good Food Beer and Atmosphere great value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

Very busy very close to the national museum and city attractions but well worth the short walk. The menu is typical Czech and very well presented. The very helpful staff are friendly and will help with choice and will keep you refreshed with good local beer or wine at great prices

“Maybe a wrong timing?”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2013

I visited this place on a friday night. When I got in, the waiters were all busy, looked moody, and actually avoided looking at me on the eyes. Well, I guess I cannot blame them but the manager should hired at least one more to serve over the weekends? I think it's a very popular place among locals. I've seen mostly locals eating the BBQ dish. It seems like that is the signature dish but unfortunately, I didn't know that until I finished my dish

The dish that I ordered had 5 dumplings and only three small pieces of meat. That is it and it was just average taste. Nothing special. I think it is not that good in terms of value.

I also had to go to the counter and pay because they were so busy. But I think they can be a bit more efficient if they actually take a bit of time with each customers because we don't have call them often...In any case, it was not a good experience and I would not go there.

“A bit out of the way - but worth a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013

A little bit off the beaten track but undoubtedly one of the tastiest and inexpensive restaurants in Prague!

“GREAT BEER, GOOD FOOD”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

This is one of those Original Pilsner Urquell restaurants, sanctioned or owned by the brewery. The beer is the freshest, the best you can get. Place has a nice, warm atmosphere. English menus are available. Beware, they serve a bread basket which is charged at 20 CZK, makes no difference if its ordered or not. I ordered the Tartar, which was superb. For my wife we ordered the roast pork knuckle. That turned out to be disappointing, since it turned out to be more like a smoked ham and not like the Bavarian equivalent which we were looking for. The meal including three beers came out to around 30 USD.
