“Great value, good location, nice place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2012

I went on a work trip to Prague, and this was a little oasis of calm. Cool in the heat, comfortable rooms, nice staff and conveniently located about a 15 minutes walk from the main attractions. Well worth a visit.

Room Tip: It's nice having a room with a door that opens onto the courtyard (i.e. ground floor).

We stayed in the suite on the 5th floor. It was huge and very nice. Dining room table, 2 couches and plenty of room for our 18 month old to run around. They are doors in between the living room and the master bedroom, so once our little guy went to sleep, we were able to relax in the living room. Shower was large and strong (nice smelling shampoo was provided). There are 2 bathrooms in this suite. Both with great tubs! Air conditioning was strong (and needed). Small fridge in the living room. There is an elevator to the room and parking was a short 3 minute walk- it was secure (right next to the police station). Wifi was free and had great signal. Hotel staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was your typical European spread. It is close to the metro (2 minute walk- which is very easy to navigate) and to a large shopping center that is open until 9, which has everything you could need (food, apotheke etc). It is about a 20-30 minute walk along the river to the bridge. We did it twice and then opted for the metro on our last day. Very quite at night.

Great little hotel in Prague, within walking distance to Old Town Square. Also very close to tram and subway for connections throughout the city. Very clean, nice rooms and a very helpful staff. Would recommend to others.

Room Tip: Quiet part of town so there was'nt any noise from the streets.

Location is fairly close to tourist areas, but a bit of a walk from the train station if you have much baggage. We didn't have any noise issues, spacious rooms but "double bed" is just two singles pushed together. Room was clean but had old stains. Free wi-fi. Front desk was helpful looking up schedules for night metro despite limited English. Decent variety for breakfast. Stop somewhere else for coffee.

The hotel is located about 10-15 minutes walk from the Republic Square Metro and that makes it a bit hard to get to, especially if you are tired in the evening. If this is acceptable and the fact that you have to pay for the parking, the hotel itself is very nice. The rooms are very well appointed and the beds extremely comfortable. The bathroom was neat and clean and very comfortable too. The breakfast had limited choice but was adequate. There are several popular cafés around the hotel and this is very good.

I wouldn't call it a great hotel, but it has very friendly staff (especially russian-speaking ones). Hotel itself is located in a quiet but shabby street. But it is quite safe and if you would like to have sight-seeing points in a walking distance that would be a good choice. I didn't like the breakfast since it is pretty average. The rooms are also in need of being renovated especially air-conditioning system. Rooms are dusty, I think cleaners are not trying their best enough. Beware of Prague taxi drivers, they are always trying to cheat you.
