“Top-notch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2012

I loved this place. I had breakfast in this cafe and ate so much that I didn't need to have lunch on that day. I had the 'Healthy' breakfast: yogurt, muesli, whole wheat bread, organic jam, milk.. everything was just delicious! The place is elegant (lovely decorated ceiling) and the waiters are very kind and speak a good English (which is not so common in Prague). I would definitely go there again!

“Nice Anthony Bourdain recommendation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2012

Great meal and wine for a fair price. Also at a good address. Been there for dinner with wife. Got as Anthony Bourdain recommendation.

“Do not waste your time for that, does not worth it!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

Love great food and Prague can offer you the best! But do not waste your time on that, as the quality of the food is very poor and the service is bad.

“Surprised by the negative reviews”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

We happened on Cafe Savoy and stopped in for coffees and dessert. It was delightful and reasonable. We noticed very few tourists, and what appeared to be many locals there.

When we went back for dinner a few nights later the hostess (manager?) recognized us immediately. They were full on a Wednesday night, but got us some drinks while we waited for a few minutes. Dinner was very good, and reasonable again. The soups are special. The warm goat cheese salad was tasty and a generous portion. The duck pâté was served a little cold, but was very tasty as it warmed up, with nice warm brioche toast points, chopped pistachios and a hint of course salt on the top. The veal entrecôte with fois gras and truffle sauce was simple, but delicious.

The wine list is extensive, and yes, the are some expensive bottles, but no more so than elsewhere for good Bordeaux, Montalcino, etc. If you don't know European wines, you might need some help. The sommelier was very excited to talk about his favorite wines (mostly Austrian and German) and make recommendations. We had an excellent Valpolicella Ripasso which I would gladly order again.

Good desserts and a wide selection of teas.

The couple we were with said: "wow, that was very good and a good value" as well. Well said.
