Hotel Grand is on the central square of Cesky Krumlov. If you are driving yourself it will take a bit of work to get to it. A GPS will be of little help. It will give you erroneous directions. Once headed into town stop and ask how to get to the central square. In addition, access to the central part of town is restricted for private cars. I walked a 1/4 km from where I could leave the car to the hotel and got a pass to drive through town to drop off luggage. Parking will be at a public or private car park just outside of the central town.
The rooms in the hotel are very clean and have good amenities. The bathrooms are new but neither of the two rooms that we used had a shower, if that is what you like. There was a bath tub with the usual awkward (and not necessarily efficient/quick way of bathing). You must walk up the stairs to rooms above the first floor. The breakfast was good but nothing special. The front desk staff was very friendly and willing to help.
The best part of this hotel was the location close to good restaurants in a beautiful old town. If you can, visit during the week when the crowds from Prague and Vienna aren't so evident.
