“Felt like were had a room in a Medieval castle.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2014

We spent 2 nights in Cesky Krumlov so I wanted a really nice place to stay and rest and I got it. It was the most expensive room on our trip but it was well worth it. It was a huge room facing the tourist walkway. The bathroom was beautiful, big and all marble with heated floors and a gigantic shower. Lovely thick towels and a towel warmer that actually worked. The room was very oversized, comfortable and well decorated. Very quiet when everything was shut and a great nights sleep. Highly recommend this hotel. Breakfast once again was just so so which was par for the course.

Room Tip: I think that all rooms in this hotel would be wonderful.

We were looking for the top in Trpadvisor, so we called to Hotel Zlaty Andel, and no vacancy. Then we called to the Hotel Růže, and also no vacancy. But they advised us to call to Leonardo Hotel. There were no vacancy on Leonardo too, but they advised us to stay on Krcinuv Dům.
It is very close to Leonardo, and it seems they work together. The breakfast is in the same place, same attendant (in Leonardo).
The hotel is perfect to few days. Good bed, good shower, good breakfast. For us, it was excellent.

Room Tip: The rooms are very close to the street, but no noise.

Cesky Krumlov is one of the Czech gems which the tourists seem to find, the place was full of oriental visitors at our visit. Navigating the narrow and crowded street in a car to arrive at the hotel was an experience in itself. Cars are in fact banned and after dropping off our luggage we had to remove it to a local car park outside the town (free parking ticket supplied by the hotel). The majority of buildings adjacent to the hotel had dates on the wall from 14xx so these have been around for quite a while. However, the bedrooms and especially the bathrooms have all been modernised and although not large are very comfortable. We were offered a selection of rooms and opted for those on the top floor which were the only ones to have air conditioning. As stated in previous reviews, the front of the hotel overlooks a small courtyard with cafes and bars and this is rather lively until well into the night so sleeping with the windows open could prove to be problematic. Breakfast in Jakobs restaurant on the ground floor was adequate but nothing spectacular, we did not eat there for the evening meal so cannot comment. Check-in as previously stated is not in the hotel itself but next door, open only between 8am - 6pm and closed an hour for lunch. The receptionist was most helpful and I guess they were not too busy as she closed up and showed us a number of rooms from which we made our choice although we had previously booked two specific rooms on the first floor.
We enjoyed our stay very much, the town is well worth a visit with many restaurants to choose from and many sights to see.

Room Tip: Rooms to the front overlook the bars. Those on the top floor have airco.

Cesky Krumlov is a not-t0-miss gem. The hotel, however, has incredible history associated with it, and is lovely in many respects, but the room (29) we had -- and apparently all of the rooms -- was small. Finding space for our two suitcases (small) was difficult. With just one window overlooking a small and noisy square, I can't imagine how the room would be comfortable in the hot summer. It was also extremely difficult to find the reception (not in the hotel) at a neighboring hotel because there are two hotels with the same name on the same street, and no directions were sent on how to navigate through the small streets to get to the hotel. Also, the reception is open only during the daytime hours -- not quite understandable why -- and if you seek help otherwise, there is nowhere obvious to turn.

However, the restaurant was quite good and the serving staff were friendly and professional.

Very romantic hotel, excellent services, delicious food in the hotel restaurant Jakub. One negative aspect: if you keep your window open during the night to get some fresh air (no aircondition in the room), it can get noisy from the street.

We were married in Cesky Krumlov 28.12.12 and stayed in what must have been the bridal suite in Krcinuv Dum. The rooms were beautifully furnished and on the walls of the sumptuous bedroom were two genuine frescoes - erotic, of course. We were extremely comfortable, and loved having a computer in one of our rooms. Only a few steps from the town square, this hotel could not be better positioned for restaurants, great coffee shops and walking around the gorgeous town and up to the imposing castle. We ate at Papa's Living restaurant, enjoying onion soup, seared fresh salmon and hot raspberries with ice cream and whipped cream. Being married in the elegant Town Hall by the Deputy Mayor was a memorable and warm experience. I recommend it.

Room Tip: The town is not noisy at night, so choose a room overlooking the cobblestone street.

This hotel is located in a historic building in a great place in the city center. The building was recently renovated and has a lift. The room is very charming, warm. with beautiful furniture and very comfortable. The breakfast (reasonably) is served in the restaurant which is located below the hotel. The hotel reception is in Leonardo and the attendants are very polite and helpful. Cars are not allowed in the center but the P3 parking is included in the room, and the clerk of the hotel can arrange a permit to enter the car to leave luggage

Room Tip: We stayed in room 28, that is very confortable
