“A place to visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2013

We went to Cesky Krumlov on a one day trip from Prague. It was a long day and meant we had to rush through the castle and many other sites. We were sorry that we did not organise to spend a night in one of the many interesting looking hotels or pensions. Next time this is what I would do so I could take my time to see the place without such a rush as there is so much to see.

“Astonishing small town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

Cesky Krumlov is a stunning and enchanting small city which you must visit if you come to Czechia or northern Austria or south of Bavaria in Germany. It will surpass your expectations - you can enjoy visiting its fantastic castle and the adjoining garden, but what you will love mostly is the view of the castle from the river Vltava, in German known as Moldau, or from several other great view points. And you will love walking through many narrow and twisting streets encompassing many medieval houses, palaces or churches including a Jewish synagogue. And if you search a cafe or a restaurant you can do just a few steps to enter some. The selection is endless. Cesky Krumlov simply hardly finds a competition among all European small old cities.

“Very cool place to visit.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

Medieval town that is real and not too touristy. You can walk around like you are in the middle ages but with good restaurants and beer places. Excellent kayaking. The bad would be the few smokers (that you get everywhere) and that they castle is keeping bears in a bear pit.

“A town from the dream”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2013

Small medieval town located on the river Vltava in the south of Bohemia. Small old houses, amazing castle, lot of typical pubs, galleries, shops. Extraordinary experience. Something you must see. The only thing I dislike - maybe too much tourists?

“Out of the way gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013

Perfectly preserved Old Town encircled by nice river and beautiful countryside. Takes some work to get there, but definitely worth it. Make sure you stop in Café Van Gogh, but skip the torture museum.
