“Charming Inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012

This hotel reminds me of an Inn,, not quite a hotel,, and not quite a B and B. It sits just outside the central part of town on what I considered a quiet street. If you have any walking ability, it is a short and easy walk to the central part of town. The rooms and bathroom are on smaller side, but quaint and personable. The bed was very comfortable. I enjoyed looking out the windows into the fenced front lawn. In the common foyer or hallway a computer was available for use. The staff were very friendly and helpful and in the basement breakfast was included with a cook making up made to order items. If taking the bus into Cesky Krumlov,,, walk down to the gas station below the bus station and grab a cab to take you to the hotel. It is a short ride.

I would definately stay again.

I know this place gets good reviews ... but I wasn't that impressed. On the surface, everything is just fine but otherwise I was left with a bad taste in my mouth. For example, when I arrived I was shown a nice room but that faced the busy street. As it was quite warm and the windows needed to be left open, I asked if there might be room available facing away from the street. The woman helping me really could not speak English or German (very strange for this location/business!) and, eventually, she did show me a room at the back and I was very happy ... until the owner tried to charge me an additional 400 krone for this "upgrade" the next morning. Additionally, the breakfast was nice but absolutely NOT worth the 8 Euros they are charging! After walking the city this appears to be at least DOUBLE of the usual charge ... even for the top hotels in the middle of the town. Granted, I agreed to this the day before but still feel a bit taken advantage of. I probably would not stay there again ... there are a LOT of choices in CK even last minute.

Room Tip: If it's warm, request a room away from the street.

I was trying to save some money by booking a room here and i was worried about noise in town. It was fine - the staff was very friendly, the room was cozy (I slept better than I had in months), it was very quiet...it's just kind of a far walk from the town itself. It's really only a 10 minute walk, but at the end of a day when you've walked to town, around town all day and it's time to go back during a rainstorm...it just feels too far away. I literally wore a pedometer one day and had logged 9 miles (probably why we alept so well). The taxi ride there isn't cheap either - about $8 each way.

Nice place for staying in Cesky Krumlov with girl-friend. Every day you choise breakfast for tommorow morning. Rooms have name like a flowers - smell like this flowers and are designed to colors of this flowers. Staff is one family and they are so kind. They welcome you by your name. Hotel offer excelent romantic weekend. There is just one negative - it´s not in the center of town, may be 10-15 minutes. It can be positive - freat oportunity to walking in historic town out of the UNESCO center.

This hotel offers romantic weekend package stay which perfectly suited our needs. We booked this hotel directly through their website for a romantic weekend stay as we wanted to celebrate 10 years dating together. Must say it was a good choice. Hotel is situated 10 minutes walk from historical centre of Cesky Krumlov. The hotel rooms are named after various flowers - we stayed in room "Rose" which is the most romantic one. There were lighting tea candles and a bottle of sparkling wine upon our arrival - very romantic welcome! The room was rather small but nice and cosy. Bathroom was equipped with whirpool bath which we appreciated especially after we came back late night from performance at the unique turn-theatre. The romantic weekend package also included breakfast. First breakfast we ate in little breakfast room belonging to the hotel.
The next morning we decided to have our breakfast in bed. Both were off various choice of salami, cheese, white and cereal pastry, yoghurts, cornflakes, home made cake, buttered eggs, tea, coffee, fake-juice (not very tasty).
The hotel offers small secured parking in the garden (4-5 cars), larger unsecured parking is just next to the hotel. Actually this hotel is one of the fiew having parking nearby, hotels located in centre do not have own parking and actually you are not allowed to drive in as the whole city centre is a pedestrian zone.
The owner of the hotel is very friendly lady, she´s at the reception desk, alternated by young girl which seemed to be little confused and nervous all the time.
We were eating out all the weekend as the hotel offers breakfast only. But ss the city centre offers wide choice of restaurants we did not find this as difficulty.
Overall we had really good time in Cesky Krumlov and if you plan to visit this amazing city hotel Romantick is a good place where to stay.

We stayed at hotel Garni Romantick for one night. Very cute and not in the main tourist area. We were the only guests in the hotel. The receptionist (we think she was also the owner) waited for our arrival, showed us the room and how to properly open the front door with the key. (It required a little jiggling.) For what she did not know how to say in English she had a little cheat-sheet and the rest was gesticulation and my trying to understand Czech and her trying to understand Russian. The room was small but very romantic. I also loved the blue plastic ceiling in the bathroom. The breakfast (200 crown/person) was in a little restaurant by the hotel. It was served by another lady who spoke no English. It was a choice of cold cuts, bread, fake juice, tea/coffee, and eggs. Though the eggs took some time to figure out. It helped a little that Russian and Czech are both Slavic languages.
We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel and would recommend it to anyone who is not afraid of a 10-minute walk to get to the center of Cesky Krumlov.
