“An amazing place in a serene surrounding”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013

If you don't mind the 3-4 hours transfer from the airport in Puerto Princessa on quite bumpy roads its perfect for a few days on the way to El Nido (ca. 2,5h)You can reach many secluded beaches in 15-30 min. by motorbike or boat. The nature is wonderfull and there are hardly any other tourists in this area which also means that there is no nightlife or other restaurants to go, but there was no need for that, we got everything we wanted in the resort. It has only ten rooms which are spacious and tastefully furnished. Alone the small infinity-Pool with a amazing view over the bay and the really good food - not standard in the Phillippines! - makes ist worth staying here and we would go there again for sure. For this high standard the price was quite low. Be aware that there are sandflies on some beaches but Steve, the owner, who did everything making our stay special, or his staff can tell you where and provide you with coconutoil.

Room Tip: We had Rooms 3&4 (4 Persons) with a large coverd terrace including hammocks, chairs and table. I...

My friends and I truly enjoyed our stay in this hotel. When we went there last April 2012 the frontage was still being constructed . The rooms however were ready for occupancy.rooms were very classy and clean. Comfortable beds, nice room! Great view too. The owner, Steve, hmmm I hope I got his name right :-) was very accommodating . He accompanied us to the sn. Vicente beach and grilled the fish and meat and some veggies for our lunch. Nice fellow :-) it was a great vacation we all truly enjoyed.

When we arrived in Peace and Love resort in san Vicente the owner, Mr. Steve, are very welcoming. He is very accommodating and friendly. Our Room was so nice not only because it's a big couch for the 5 of us but also we've got a nice scenery. Though We've encountered some minor glitch in our room especially in their door lock when we arrive, but they manage to fix it immediately. The Hotel is like a one stop shop because they have their own restaurant, they have their own package island tour, and you can use their own big boat with a free lunch, and they can also offer you a ride or you can borrow their motor bike when you need to go far in a reasonable rate of course especially the transportation there is very difficult. Their swimming pool was still under construction when we arrive, but they've said it will be finish before March just not our luck to use it. The Driver, Kuya Manoling was very helpful, and friendly because he drive us to the main road so we could get a van going to El Nido and he waited for us until we get a ride and he also arrange our transportation going back to Puerto Princesa. The staff were friendly, they need some service skills training to be professional though, but thy're nice. If you just want to stay in a quiet with no much people you could choose San Vicente but there's no much to see in there compared to El Nido and they still need a lot of work to improve the place especially those bumpy roads.

Room Tip: When you want to reserve a room tell them that you want to have the beach front view so you could ha...

Steve, the owner was already waiting for us when we arrived. He showed us the room and the resort. The construction was almost finished, but still some work going on, but it did not bother us. The pool was almost finished. The location and the view are stunning! Can not be better! There is a nice terrace with seaview and a little patio to see the sunset. The rooms are new and very nice and big. There is a small fridge and a waterboiler. Every day you get 2 bottles of water. Good shower.
As there were not too many guests, sometimes there was no staff, so If you wanted to have something for lunch it was difficult to get something. Steve, the owner, does all he can to make you feel comfortable. He made us lunch when the staff was not around. We rented à motorbike to go to Roxas to get money. There is no ATM in St. Vincente, we took money from the gasstation in Roxas with our creditcard. Take enough money with you from Puerto. It was à Nice ride through the jungle, but the road is not finished, so very dusty!
Long Beach is beautiful and not far from Peace & Love. You can walk it, we did it every day. The food at Peace & Love is good. Loved the fruitshakes and the pancakes.
Would defenitly go there again!

Nice hotel! But that is all, San Vicente is a very small town, so not much to fo night time, and the famous Long Beach they can rename to mud beach, which also have some nice sand flies that eat you up. So visit some other nice town!

Peace and Love Resort is a remote getaway. I traveled with three other friends in Feb 2013. The owner, his girlfriend and his staff were very polite and friendly. I also had the best pizza--Phillipino pizza which my friends raved about as well. I don't know why the other reviews are saying it takes a long time to get to the beach. Obviously, they were lost. The resort is near Long Beach, the longest beach in Phillipines. There are several spots which are labeled on the road and on the map. We were provided with motorbikes daily. The beaches are very easy to find. I even walked to Beach one! It is not a very touristy place, but that is one of the things we appreciated. It is nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of people and just enjoy a private vacation. Everything we needed was given to us by the owner. All of the staff were very helpful and our room was luxurious and spacious. Everynight we had a perfect sunset view. My friends and I also partook in the "Still Standing" game and luckily, our names were put on the wall. It was a great trip and all four of us would definately love to go back!
