“The best place to relax and dine in Sabang”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

From reservations to departure from the resort, the experience was stressfree and seamless. From the first email I sent to the resort, I got immediate response and service from Bruce who gave me all the information I needed in making my decision to stay at this resort. The positive reviews of this resort are accurate. Bruce took care of all the arrangements from the airport pickup, to the transfers to the resort and the tours. He even met us upon arrival. The resort was full but he made every effort to put my group together as vacancies came up.The entire team of this resort is courteous, helpful and accomodating. The drivers of the van were very friendly, helpful and safety conscious. They took the effort to make sure my group saw the key sights along the way and provided us information. Upon arrival at the resort, we were able to check in immediately. We occupied a suite and standard room that were ajoining so it was easy for us to get together. The rooms had sufficient space and all had oceanviews which was great. The only thing I can say about the interiors of the rooms is that it was a bit dark. Dining at the restaurant was filled with pleasant culinary surprises. The menu had quite a variety for every taste and dietary concern. Meals were reasonably priced. We were never disappointed especially with the breakfast selection which always had fresh juices, fruits and a wide of Filipino, American and continental cuisine. The surroundings were clean. The pool area was well-maintained and relaxing. There were cozy cabanas around the pool area. The beach and bar areas was a nice place to relax, chill, read, listen to music, etc. It was not crowded at tall. The wide shoreline combined with the mountains provide breathtaking views and scenery for a perfect relaxation venue. For some adventure, the proximity to the Sabang Underground River is strategic and convenient. Also, walking distance to the resort are small massage spas where you can get good massages for a very cheap rate.
I enjoyed this beach more than I expected. I primarily went there for the Underground River but ended up enjoying the beach as well. The casita-style architecture of the resort gave the place a homey appeal. Surrounding gardens were well maintained. I conclude to emphasize that customer service and satisfaction was high on the the resort's priority list.

We stayed in the superior room facing the beach and really enjoyed our stay. The room was nice and very well maintained. The resort's location is beautiful and very close to the Underground River. Sabang is a small town, but the people are friendly. We went squid fishing with one of the local fishermen and when we came back women we befriended earlier cooked calamaris and kinilaw (filipino-style sashimi) for us.

Every meal we had at the restaurant (Pawikan) was wonderful. The dishes always exceeded our expectations, including the live crab we had for lunch on our last day. The staff is very courteous and accommodating, to include the driver who took us to and from the airport. The resort is a fairly bumpy 2-hour drive from Puerto Princesa airport, but once we got there, we didn't want to leave because Sabang is so peaceful. We loved our stay at the Daluyon!

Room Tip: Superior room facing the ocean is the way to go!

This place was best place in sabang for the $$ and convenient for the river cave but the resorts further north up the coast are better value. the staff and food were good but I got sick of eggs every morning for breakfast

Room Tip: Get upstairs if you can

We visited Palawan in December 2012 to celebrate a family reunion as well as an 80th birthday for my grandmother. It was truly a delightful experience as the people from Daluyon were warm, hospitable and filled with cheers and smiles. The rooms were cozy and comfortable.

The thing that stood out the most was the service rendered by the staff at Daluyon. They devoted their time in decorating the setup for my grandmother's 80th birthday which was a truly unforgettable experience. Well done to all of the staff!

The location is rather remote which allows for peace and relaxation. A place worth visiting and coming back to!

Location is ideal and the facility is well maintained. The breakfast buffet is also enjoyable with good selections for both local and international tastes. The family suite is well designed for different sizes, perfect for our party of 5. We liked staying on the beach.

I stayed at Daluyon for 4 nights. The hotel and the setting exceeded my expectations. The area is very beautiful, the beach amazing, every single person of the staff professional and super polite. Even the trainees at the restaurant were super cute when serving nervously customers.
Yes, the trip is a bit bumpy up to the resort and it takes around 2 hours but its worth it. We took the private transfer with the same driver, which was very polite and drove well.
For what you get Daluyon is not only reasonable but cheap.
It must be noted that the area is very quiet at night, three or four restaurants and that's it. So if you want quiet holidays in an amazing environment, Sabaang beach is a great option.

Room Tip: We had an upper room but to be honest up or down doesn't really matter.

My partner and I really enjoyed out stay in Daluyon. Our room was very nice, with very clever wooden walls that were also doors/windows that could be opened or shut depending on how much sun and fresh sea air you wanted to let into your room. The staff cleaned our room daily and did so very efficiently. The quality of food was really good...the kinilaw (Filipino fish dish similar to ceviche) is a must-try! The pool area is lovely with great views of the hills of Palawan.

It is quite an environmentally- conscious place though, and the showers are solar power heated, so if you want a hot shower in the morning, best wait until 10-ish. Although the staff are all very friendly, we found that the service was a bit lax and slow. For example, we would try to get some beers while sitting on sun beds by putting up the "in need of service flag", but no one would come for a long time, so we would have to walk up to the bar and get our drinks anyway. The restaurant staff would also often forget to let us sign for drinks and food and then appear a bit confused about what we had eaten or drank the next morning. Perhaps we came at a busy time, but I think they can improve on this area further.

Having said all of that I will still definitely stay there the next time we come to Sabang!

Room Tip: We stayed in the room right by the beach bar, so we were able to catch the wifi signal, which I thin...
